45 klms from Down-Town Montreal, in lovely country of Laurentians Mountains. My house can be a fantastic residence for an artist or a musician who wants to create in a new environnement. I have a grand piano and studio for painting. My land is large and excellent for Hiking and outdoor activities. For peoples who look for half and half country/city: for an example people who want to practice sport, nature, cultural tourism, summer or winter sport during the day but they want to see a good show or eat in the best restaurant in Montreal by night. On the first floor, you have kitchen, dining rooom and living room with a wonderfull grand piano in open area, the tv and computer room and a charming bedroom. On the second floor you have a very large bedroom plus a private bathroom with the view on the patio, the pool the garden and the forest and an art studio with a split double bed to accomodate more people. A lot of trees and flowers all around the house makes it privacy and the wood is just behind the house. This is a modern house, equiped with 3 double beds , a microwave, t. v. , computer, washer, and is in a lovely rural setting, complete with a garden.

St-Hippolyte is a nice village famous for his lakes (over 50) you have access to Lachigan lake beach one of the most beautifil in Laurentians: biking on the trail (300 klm) Le Ptit train du Nord an old railway that becomes a cycle trail in summer and crosscontry ski in winter or swimming fishing and boating, during summer or driving up north to visit nice villages (St-Sauveur (15 minutes) , Ste-Adèle, (20 min, ) Val-David, and the famous Mount Tremblant, the biggest ski and vacation village. . ) with excellent restaurants, art boutik and typical products at agro-tourism farms around. On the other way St_Hippolyte is just half way between Montréal and Mont-Tremblant (45 minutes respectively) both easily accessible by the Hiway.
Montreal is the 2nd largest city in Canada, full of excitement, glamour, and exotic experiences and yet safe.

i'm more interested in hospitality exchange as it is a way of meeting people with different culture, I can be a good guide to introduce you to Montreal festivity (music, cinema, art festival) during the summer but four seasons are very attractives . . . that depends whath you are looking for! (cold but sunny in a blue sky with 5 feet of snow on a skidoo or 30 over 0 on the sandy beach of the many lakes)
I can travel anytime and open to any destination. Exchange can be simultaneous or non-simultaneous. I want to stay 3 weeks and more in France, Italy, Australie, NewZeland or any place that is a long distance from Canada but I am also open to short exchange in Quebec, Toronto, New-York, to explore the gallerys and create new relation-ship. I can also offr an artist residancy rental giving acces to one room, access to the kitchen, the patio, pool, music studio or painting studio.

I live alone . I was teacher, composer and painter for many years. I quit teaching in 2004 and now I have all my time to paint, make music, take care of my garden and travel. I love to meet people of different culture: if our exchange is not possible or unsimultaned or if your exchange is previewed to stay in a big city (but you need a break:-) I can also rent the second floor for peoples who want to stay just few days or a week end out of the city to relax in country with full meals or B&B with acces to pool, concert, activities, cultural visits, guide tours, etc
