We love to travel as a family. We believe this is part of our childrens' education.
Always give us a try...we are hoping for Greece in 2010 but are open to any ideas.
We are considering an Australian road trip so anyone with a trip to Melbourne in mind send us an email.
French speaking destinations always high on our list as I am learning French. USA as we have family on the East Coast we love to get together with. Short breaks within Australia are always an option as we have two homes.
We will be in London for part of September 2011 so would like to consider one more European stop around that time?? Any ideas?
We love to discover new and interesting places, so far all the exchanges we have organised were not even on our wish list and we've loved every one of them. We've exchanged as close as Victoria's Yarra Valley, Noosa, Sydney and as far as LA and Mauritius just to name a few. We try to answer all exchange enquiries.

The Home
We live on Melbourne's waterfront. Our home is three bedroom located in a luxury development on Melbourne's "Golden Mile". We are situated in a serene court environment with our living rooms facing the water, bayside parks, walking tracks and stunning views. We have a constant scenery change with yachts, ships, and animal life slowly passing us by.
The master bedroom is filled with French antique furniture, a lovely view and a stunning ensuite with shower, spa, and double vanity. The children's bedrooms both have their own ensuite and lead out to the children's play area with trampoline via french doors. The boys room is equipped with a set of King Single Bunk Beds, bookshelves, and a desk. My daughter's bedroom has a french antique double bed and lots of girlie toys.
We have 3 living zones. Our main living room is equipped for relaxed family living, with a plasma TV, fireplace, large low line comfortable couch, antique japanese cabinets and a fully automated reclining massage chair. This leads onto our balcony facing the water with a 10 seater outdoor table. We have spent many weekends enjoy the view whilst have an alfresco lunch.
Our 2nd Living space comes off the kitchen fully equipped with two ovens, 5 burner gas top, butlers pantry and a Giotto espresso machine. We have a 8 - 14 seater table and a comfortable seating area to enjoy the many books on our bookshelf or listen to your Ipod music on the Bose Ipod station.
The 3rd living area is the children's domain. Equipped with bookshelves filled with children's books, their very own Plasma TV hooked up to Playstation 2, PS3 and a WII. We have a large childrens DVD library and many board games to enjoy. This area opens up with french doors that lead back to the childrens outdoor area.
BEACH HOUSE:
Our beach house is located on the Mornington Peninsula, an hour and half drive away. It is a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom beach house in a truly Australian setting. Surrounded by ti-trees and local vegetation and wildlife. This area is truly unique as we have both the ocean and bay beaches within a moments reach. Here you can swim with the dolphins, snorkel with sea dragons, play golf in world renowned golf courses, visit wineries, take walk through the National Park or just laze away by the beach.
Or you might never want to leave our home. Travertine bathrooms with stone tubs, rain showers, relaxing living zones or alfresco dine by the pool.
Non simultaneous exchange with these properties is always an option. We would consider rental for these as another option.
I own this property.

Other Information
Melbourne lies on the south-east corner of mainland Australia. If Australia has anything approximating a European city, then Melbourne is it. Cobbled alleyways, cafe filled laneways, dimly lit basements, above tiny shops, cool bars, unique galleries, beautiful parks and village like inner suburbs. Melbourne being the food and fashion capital of Australia has a staggering choice of restaurants and funky boutiques.
Melbourne's scene revolves around its two waterfronts: Port Phillip Bay, which laps the shores of the city's buzziest suburbs, St. Kilda, Elwood, and Brighton and the Yarra River, which meanders from the village of Warburton through the eastern suburbs and the city center. The wide, leafy boulevards and the lack of steep hills make the city a dream to explore.
Melbourne, a relatively modern city which is less than 200 years old, never sits still. New futuristic designs add to the fascinating mix of architecture and ensure the skyline is constantly changing.
Melburnians embrace three things in particular: Sport (Australian Rules football is almost a religion). Fashion the look is chic with a dash of quirky) and Festivals (the calendar is packed year round) .
To discover what's beyond our wonderful city and it's precincts you will need a car. We have a 7 seater Honda Odyssey with DVD player. This can be made available for the exchange if reciprocal in your country.
We are a non smoking house. We are very house proud and will look after your home the way we look after ours.

The People
We are an adventurous family of 5. John is 47 years old and runs his own business (freight forwarding and commercial property). Christina is 40 years old and has a passion for travel and interior design but is currently busy raising 3 children. She is currently learning French. Thomas is 11 years old and loves swimming, learning the cello, bike riding, food, especially Japanese food (we have an upcoming foodie on our hands). Lucas is 6 years old and he too loves food, building Lego, swimming and Star Wars. Allanah is 4 years old and our youngest member of the family. Her obsession at the moment is the colour pink and jumping on the trampoline.
All the children are happy travellers most of the time. We love travelling and our children are all very experienced travellers. We have travelled with the children to places like Siberia/Russia, China, Hong Kong, Bali, Fiji, Italy, Greece, Spain, U.K, USA, Canada, & many more. The children are very respectful and well behaved children who are open and happy to experience something new. We love travel, books, art, food and entertaining.
We now consider ourselves experienced home exchangers. We have six positive home exchange experiences under our belt. We find it is the best way to travel as a family and would recommend it to anyone. We have found all our home exchange partners to be respectful, like minded people who take care of your property as it were your own.
On occasion we may travel with the children's grandparents, Jim and Ellas.
