Our Home
On the top floor we have four bedrooms, living room / dining room, kitchen, 2 WCs, and one bathroom.
In the basement there is a large playing room with Nintendo Wii, PS2, a open fireplace, garage, WC, shower and sauna.
Here we also have an extra sofa bed, so you can bring your nanny, or granny. Or maybe both of them.
From the sun deck you have a sea glimpse. The waterfront is only 200 meters away.
You can watch boat life and ferrys bound for Stockholm from our terrace.
Since our neighbourhood is located high you'll find our location "bright and airy".
The map pin doesn't show the right location. It is close, but not close enough. This URL might help you find the correct location. Copy paste!: http://www.hitta.se/LargeMap.aspx?var=Alpstigen+4%2c+Liding%F6

Our Neighborhood
Lidingö is considered to be one of Swedens wealthiest area, and our home is placed in a neighbourhood called Högberga - or as some people like to say "The Gold coast of Lidingö".
But the nice thing about this area is the mixture between fancy villas and normal swedish homes (like ours).
Just a couple of minutes away by car you are able to catch the archipelago ferries that bring you into one of the worlds greatest archipelagos, with thousands and thousands of islands of various size. Here you will definitely find a private rock, where you can go sunbathing all by yourself. There are plenty of small hostels in the archipelago where you can stay to a fair price, or why not experience the Scandinavian bright nights in our tent? (The sun sets at 10 Pm and pops up again at 3.30 am in mid summer).
The tram station is only a 10 minutes walk away. The tram takes you to "solid ground" in 15 minutes, and after a short subway trip for 7 minutes youre in the middle of Stockholm City.
By car, Stockholm is just 17 minutes away, so I would consider all the facilities a modern city has to offer to be a part of our neighbourhood - theatres, health clubs, cinemas, tennis courts, shopping areas in the city and Old Town. There are also many golf courses in Stockholm (one is located 10 minutes away by car - on Lidingö, and there are about 10 more located within 30 - 60 minutes by car).
In the forrest there is a small lake (Kottla Lake) where you can swim. There are also some small beaches around the island, where you can swim in the sea (average sea temp I would guess would be about 20-21 degrees in July).
If you prefer to watch the boat life and inlet of Stockholm, just lean back in our sun chairs and enjoy!

About Us
Philip (42) works as a commercial film producer and he is co-founder of Armstrong Film (see link below). Christina (41) is studying.
We like to play golf, tennis and ice hockey (not Christina!!!).
Christina is an aerobic freak. So, we consider us to be sporty and healthy.
We also like to travel - we have visited almost all European countries, Thailand, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia. We have also been to Australia three times, Canada six times, and USA something like 20 times.
Our first homeexchange was in 2005 with a couple in San Luis Obisbo California. The summer 2008 we did our second, with a family from La Rochelle. In January 2009 we did our third with a couple from Australia, and last summer 2012 we swapped with a family from France again, this time in Hyeres. Great experiences!!!
Home exchange is the right way for us to explore a country or a city!
