Our home is very secure and private with much surrounding open space. We have a large master bedroom suite with balcony and private bath upstairs. There are two more bedrooms and another bath upstairs, plus a half bath on the main level. There is a pleasant backyard with a BBQ. Amenities in the community include a swimming pool and tennis courts. It is approx. 10 yrs old, in excellent condition, with all the modern appliances and amenities. There are three fireplaces, a washer and dryer, and all bedding and linens. An extended-cab Ford pickup truck is available and kept in the garage along with an exercise bike and a regular bike. We are located about 2 hrs south of San Francisco but within 1/2 hr, there are innumerable attractions including Monterey, Carmel, Pebble Beach and the Big Sur wilderness. All these areas are on the Monterey Bay/Pacific Ocean which offers fishing, whale watching and wonderful seafood restaurants. Carmel is a famous, quaint village with numerous shops, galleries, and restaurants. Clint Eastwood was once the mayor of Carmel and currently resides there. Pebble Beach is home to the A. T. & T pro-am golf tournament each year. There is an abundance of golf courses in the area and a famous auto racetrack at Laguna Seca. The Monterey Bay aquarium is world renowned. The area is known as Steinbeck country and there is a museum in the city of Salinas. The area is also home to a number of wineries which are open to the public for tours. Hearst Castle is a few hours to the south and certainly worth a visit.

The home is in a gated community called The Meadows located midway between Monterey and Salinas. The weather usually is quite mild so the area can be enjoyed year round. We have wonderful resturants near us. The Steinbeck Musuem is fifteen minutes away. There is a wild game park near us to visit. Lots of golf and tennis. The Lagunna Race track is also near us. Two hours away is the beautiful Hearst Castle which you can take tours through. Near by is a cute town called Cambria. The beach is about twenty minutes from us in Carmel. Pebble beach is about the same distance. Our home is very quite with only one house on one side of us and the green belt on the other.

We would like the length of time to be two or three weeks but we do have flexibility.

We are a retired couple, Bruce and Linda. We have a large extended family which includes 7 children and 7 grandchildren. We are empty nesters who love to travel and explore new places. We often travel with another couple who are likewise retired and non-smokers. We are experienced home exchangers, having exchanged once in Germany and twice in Holland. The experiences were extremely successful. We are the type of people that respect another's home as if it were our own, and the people we exchanged with were likewise. We are open to a proposal for anytime or anyplace.
