Our Home
Open the front door to a gorgeous open living area, then look beyond to the 20-foot wall of windows that frames a long-range view of the mountains. Walk out to the screened porch with a fireplace, then out to the deck where you look down at the treetops of the forest. Walk outside on "Wildwimmen Way" deep into the woods, or sit on the Sunset Pavillion in one of the hammocks. Go down to the terrace level and have a drink at the bar or enjoy a snack from the kitchen while you watch a movie on the big screen TV. Go up to the second floor and sit in the easy chair on the loft overlooking the living room below and see the view from up there. On this level, stay in the Pecan Room, with its own balcony, or the Kudzu Room with its view of Big Frog Mountain, or the Hydrangea Room, where twin beds overlook the wooded yard. Stay on the main level and enjoy the privacy of a master wing including a bedroom with a view of the mountains, a bath with 2-person tub, a study with TV, and a computer niche. Or stay at the terrace level in the Rose Room, with its attached bath sitting area, and queen sized bed. It also has a private entry leading to a walled terrace with fire pit. Three bedrooms have private bath; two share a bath. On the main level is a living room, kitchen, breakfast area, laundry room, dining room, and master suite with bedroom, study, and 2 baths (one can be used as guest bath). Upstairs are the bridge area and 3 bedrooms, 2 of which have windows that can opened to the large living room. At the terrace level there is a foyer to the garage, a living room, a bar and dining area,a kitchen, a second laundry room, a bath, and a bedroom. This level is wheelchair accessible, but the bathroom is not. Outside there are numerous sitting areas, including 2 decks and a pavillion overlooking the forest.

Our Neighborhood
Blue Ridge, Georgia, is a small town approximately 90 miles due north of Atlanta. It is close to the borders of Tennessee and North Carolina (in fact, it is called the Tri State area. It is easily accessible from Atlanta with 4-lane highways all the way. Blue Ridge is very tourist oriented, with excellent shopping and entertainment opportunities, including white water rafting, boating, movies(even a drive-in theatre!), stage performances, a train ride, horseback riding, and art and antiques shopping. In spite of all the activities found in and around Blue Ridge, it is still a small mountain town.

Other Information
We love this house for its beauty and comfort. We built the house for guests and it shows. Four of the bedrooms are large and include sitting areas. The bathrooms have soaking tubs with robes provided for your use. We painted the house in vibrant reds, yellows, greens, and blues. We named the bedrooms after Georgia flora, and painted them to match the names (Pecan, Kudzu, Rose, and Hydrangea). The house is furnished mostly in antiques with artwork throughout. Oriental rugs cover many of the hardwood or tile floors. We regret that we cannot accommodate families with young children.

Our Dates
Open, but we need at least 4 months notice, unless exchangers want a hospitality visit. In this case, they would occupy the complete terrace level with 1 bedroom, 1 bath, 1 queen fold-out sofa, kitchen, 55 inch TV, kitchen, dining area and private entrance. Outside are the hot tub, swings, and hammocks. The view is still fabulous from the terrace level!
