A very large and airy living room has 2 large windows which look out to a courtyard and has a view of other apartments.There is one bedroom with either a big double bed or 2 single beds, 2 armchairs, stereo, large wardrobe, 2 large windows, TV, air conditioner and radiator. The spacious 12 X 12 foot kitchen/ diner has a new worktop, sink and hob/oven, and all items necessary for cooking, table and 4 chairs, with 2 large windows with a courtyard view. There is a spacious hallway with radiator to the bathroom with new bath and shower over and radiator. Go up one flight of stairs to the condominium's shared roof terrace which is suitable for a glass of Prosecco wine and watch the wonderful rooftop views. The building is quiet and clean and the neighbours friendly.

This recently restored sunny apartment is in the heart of the Dorsoduro district of Venice. It is a quiet area, away from the busy tourist traps, but within easy walking distance of all the major attractions of Venice. There are many outdoor cafes dotted around the area. It is only a short walk to the Bus Terminal at Piazzale Roma and the Railway Station. Nearby is Campo Santa Margherita which has many cafes, restaurants, shops and a busy night life. It is also near the Accademia bridge, the Accademia Art Museum, and the Guggenheim Modern Art museum. Three waterbus stops nearby can easily take you to all the other famous places in Venice. Just behind the apartment is the Zattere, which has a long waterfront promenade, especially beautiful for an evening walk with bars, pizza restaurants, and ice cream shops and a stunning view of the Giudecca island and San Giorgio Maggiore. Also nearby on the Grand Canal is Ca' Rezzonico built in the 1600's, now a fabulous museum.

Our apartment in Venice is managed by a local woman who is American and married to a Venetian. She speaks fluent English and Italian and arranges all the greetings and check-ins. there is also a cleaner available for a fee.

My husband and I first started coming to Venice in 2000 and immediately fell in love with the beauty, uniqueness and magical quality of Venice. We both love walking around Venice, stopping at a cafe for a coffee or a snack, and riding on the vaporetti boats up and down the Grand Canal and around the outskirts of Venice. We find Venice very relaxing and peaceful, but also interesting with so much going on if that is what you choose.
