Our Home
Built in 1991, our Maine camp is at once rustic and well-appointed. Situated on one of Maine's most pristine ponds, the house features two full bedrooms and a loft sleep space. The master with water views and queen sized bed; second bedroom bunk beds with single on top and full size on bottom, and a loft with full sized bed, skylight and water views (our beds and mattresses are new and comfortable); fully appointed kitchen with gas range, vaulted ceilings throughout; large view living space with open concept to kitchen and dining area; full bathroom with tub and shower; private dock with watercraft for your usage (kayaks, rowing shell, peddle boat); 200' shore front; spacious deck with water views; one acre that is secluded from neighbors on either side. Rocky Pond features simply divine swimming, i.e. no muddy bottom (hence, it's name!), leeches, turtles, only pure, sweet, warm water. We take daily round trip swims to our little island, about 30 mins. and quite refreshing! Fabulous sunsets and moon rises. Lawn, picnic/horse shoe/grilling area. Generator powers entire house, but you will love the adventure, as well as tranquility of being off the grid. Perfect for small family (kids and dogs welcome!); empty nesters who like adventure, same sex or honeymoon couple, or writers and artists. Very romantic. Camp Sweet Spot is appointed with many of our vintage collectibles, mostly from the mid-century, from original film posters to the tableware and accoutrement, which gives the place a dash of style and character!

Our Neighborhood
Equidistant to the bucolic Blue Hill Peninsula and village, and "happening" city of Ellsworth where amenities abound, Rocky Pond seems worlds away. From the moment that you make the turn off the Highway onto the aptly named Happytown Road, you will feel tension easing away. By the time you reach Camp Sweet Spot and glimpse the pristine pond, you will know you are in a little slice of Heaven. There are only a few camps on Rocky Pond, because it is mostly in a Nature Preserve, so between the relative lack of electrical usage and its remoteness from town, peace and tranquility reign supreme, broken only by the cry of the Loons. The neighbors on either side use their places as second homes, and the lifestyle is laid back, quiet and harmonious. Jet skis and other motorized watercraft are limited on Rocky Pond. Great recreational ops right from the front door, such as swimming, paddling, rowing, hiking, cycling.. or a day of sightseeing at nearby Acadia National Park or tourist mecca Bar Harbor, or shopping, cinema, bowling, fine dining, waterparks, etc. in Ellsworth, just ten minutes from Camp Sweet Spot. Depending upon the level of the exchange, we could conceivably consider our primary residence instead, which is prime location, within a block walking distance to shops, restaurants, galleries and other amenities, and is a veritable museum of art and antiques.

About Us
Our family, including my late husband, our two children and me, moved to Maine from our native Los Angeles 14 years ago. Camp Sweet Spot is our summer home, and our primary residence is a completely renovated 32 room, 200 year old home with barn in Ellsworth that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Maine is a great place to raise kids and a very cool place to live. However, we miss Los Angeles and our friends and family, and now that I have a big project in L.A. it would be a good time to swap homes for a period of time with a nice family. My son is grown and serving in the U.S. Army, so it would just be my 14-year-old daughter and me. Bronwyn is a freshman at John Bapst Memorial High School in Bangor, which was named by the Washington Post as the number one college prep school in northern New England. She is an Honors student and is active in tennis, Chorale, cheering and Latin Club. I was born and raised in Southern California and am a fifth generation Californian, whose parents grew up in Los Feliz and Beverly Hills. I am a public relations consultant, having previously owned TVG Communications Inc. a full service entertainment and corporate P.R. Firm in the mid-Wilshire District. Since moving to Maine my clientele is primarily world-renowned visual artists and conservation concerns. We are active, fit and upbeat. We run a tight ship in terms of keeping our homes clean and orderly, and enjoy decorating, gardening and you will likely find your home in at least as good, if not better, condition when you reclaim it than it was before we stayed there. We enjoy evening walks in the neighborhood. We would be happy to send images of ourselves and primary residence so that you might see how we live.
