Long Beach is a quick stroll or jog away and ocean beaches are a ten-minute car ride.

The ferry to Shelter Island is just a five minute ride from our home. Nestled between the North and South Forks, Shelter Island is a great place for biking, fishing, shopping or taking in a little piece of history. The towns of East Hampton, Bridgehampton and Southampton are all about a 15 minute ride away and each offers its own unique flavor of the Hamptons. Montauk is about half an hour away and offers some of the best surfing beaches in the country as well as wonderful tourist attractions such as the Montauk LIghthouse.

The wineries of the Hamptons and the Noth Fork offer daily tours and tastings which are especially wonderful during the Fall season.

Since this is our second home, our dates don't have to coincide exactly.

My name is Susan and my husband's name is Adam. We have three children, two sons who are in college and one daughter still in high school. Most of the time, they will not be joining us during our home exchanges, but from time to time one or all of them may travel with us.

We fell in love with Sag Harbor while we were looking for a vacation home in the Hamptons. Our realtor suggested we look in Sag Harbor, a town we knew little about at the time. We were taken with Sag Harbor on our first visit and subsequently, purchased a home there. Sag Harbor feels more like a New England fishing village than part of the Hamptons. Sag Harbor's close proximity to other area attractions like white sand beaches, vineyards, nature trials, and museums is ideal for locals or newcomers wanting to explore the Hamptons. My husband and I refer to our home as a "sanctuary" -- a place where we can feel truly relaxed and secluded, yet close enough to great restaurants, spectacular beaches and many other attractions.
