Hello!

Our home is a lower ground floor lateral conversion in the lovely Barnsbury conservation area.

Our spacious apartment is on one floor with three bedrooms, a large fully equipped kitchen, one bathroom, living room and a brand new comfortable sofa.

One bedroom is large with a brand new queen bed and luxury mattress. The second is furnished with a brand new queen sleep sofa bed, a desk, as well as a modern computer with a large monitor. The third is smaller which is furnished with a single bed and kids furnitures, and there is a very small fourth bedroom which is furnished with a cot and kids furnitures. We have beds for 4 people but a fifth or sixth person would be welcome to sleep on the couch or on our aero bed.

We have a very long corridor so the bedrooms are far from the living area.
We live on a tree lined street, which is not a through road, so it is very quiet and peaceful.

We prefer no smoking in our home. We appreciate people taking care of our home as we will do with theirs.

The house is in a pretty, quiet residential street 5 minutes from fashionable Upper Street in Islington, Angel Highbury and Islington station. This is right near the heart of Islington, minutes from restaurants, delis and bakeries, parks, cinemas, theaters, shops, and the tube.

The residential neighborhood offers a variety of restaurants, cinemas, shopping, the Kings Head Theatre pub, Camden Passage antiques market and 2 cinemas in minutes. It is a lovely place to return to after a bustling day about town. Islington area is safe, and clean- attracting everyone from Tony Blair to the Mayor of London, Alan Davis and more.


It is good for children as well because of our proximity to parks and entertainment.

Angel station (10 mins) has the Northern line tube (Kings Cross/ St Pancras one stop, Old Street, quick access to Oxford Circus and Camden Town for shopping). Overground (Highbury and Islington station) is 20 mins in the other direction for Richmond and Kew Gardens one way, trendy Hoxton and Stratford for the Olympic village and Westfield shopping the other). We also have lots of buses providing easy access to all areas of the city. It's also perfectly possible to walk into areas like Clerkenwell, Regent's Park, Hampstead, Covent Garden and the West End in around 40 minutes.

We have a cleaner who comes once a week.

We are interested in a possible exchange for about 4 weeks (or more, up to four months) between late January and early May 2013. Any length of time would help.

Matt is a director of a technology company and we are looking for an exchange in either New-York or San Francisco where he has offices.

We are a family of 4, with Matthew & Veronique (mid-late 30s), Chloe (3 years), and Ethan (7 months) Matt is a founder and director of a technology business. Matt is British, I am French and I have lived in the UK for many years. I work as an Administrator at Lloyds Bank, currently on maternity leave until June 2013. Chloe goes to a bilingual nursery and loves swimming. She is bilingual and wants to make new friends abroad. We are passionate about food (cooking and dining out).
