Our Home
Edwardian house in multicultural area of North London, with small garden. It's a peaceful location on a side road. Please note, I have a cat who stays at home! Not suitable for exchange if you are allergic or dislike cats.
The house has working fireplaces in the living room and dining room, so you will be cosy in winter. In the summer, why not relax in the hammock beneath the apple tree.
If you like to cook, there is a big modern gas cooker in the kitchen. And a bbq in the garden.
There is a proper old fashioned bath tub, and separate good modern shower.
Wifi of course, and a study separate from the bedrooms and living areas. There are two bicycles available if you like to explore on wheels.

The nearest tube station is 10 minutes walk (Seven Sisters, zone 3). The tube journey time to Central London is 10 minutes.
Within 5 minutes walk there are lots of shops for fresh produce, as well as ethnic foods from Latin America, the Caribbean, Turkish bakeries, a Chinese food store.
There is a park 10 minutes away if you like to go jogging, and a leisure centre with swimming pool just 2 minutes around the corner.
For another side to London, there is the Lea Valley river walk which you can join around 20 minutes from the house.
If you are arriving from Stansted or Heathrow airport it's very easy. Take the train from Stansted to Tottenham Hale and then get a short bus or taxi ride to my place. From Heathrow, take the underground to Finsbury Park, and then change for one more stop to Seven Sisters.

Amsterdam: anytime is good, although I have to teach classes in London some weekdays from September to April

About Us
I'm a university lecturer in London. I often travel to Amsterdam where my brother and his family live. Berlin and Toronto are two of my favourite cities. I love to go for walks in the city or the countryside, and visit art galleries, music, and alternative culture. I am a tidy, respectful non-smoker.
The cat is a tabby (neutered) and very peaceful. He is completely toilet trained and there is no litter box to empty (he goes outside). You can keep the bedroom doors closed and leave him to sleep in his basket. All he needs is his dry food and some fresh water.
I prefer to exchange with other cat owners so that I can have the company of your pet while I am away.
My work means I can't do long exchanges (more than a few days) between September and March, sorry!
