My apartment is in a recently renewed building so it's just 2 years old and elegantly furnished with attention to details.
It can be a comfortable beach house during the summer thanks to its proximity to the shore, and a great nest in winter taking advantages of the mild climate of Liguria and Varazze's gulf.
Has one bedroom and one sofa-bed in the living-dining room, so can accommodate up to 4 people but I would recommend it for a couple in order to have more space.
Has high-speed internet connection, air conditioning in dining room and bedroom, heating and all the appliances. It has a balcony with power-driven sunshade, suitable for sunbathing, relaxing or just hanging out the washing.
Sheets, towels, dishes, cutlery, and all the kitchen and bath stuff is available. In addition I have an exercise bike and a new vibration plate.
I can provide you a Vaio tiny netbook with an extra battery, so you can carry it with you.

The flat at second floor but the building also has lift. It is a two-roomed flat, with one bathroom and one open space with kitchen-dining room. It seems to be quite small but believe me, when you live in a lively sea town (italian town!) you won't stay at home for long hours!

The apartment is located in a suggestive position, in front of the city dome and its cobblestoned square, and behind the main "carrugio" (the typical ligurian alley with shops and restaurants).
The seashore is less than a minute walking, the train station is just 10 mins and all other amenities within walking distance.
Varazze, is one of the most touristic cities of the area, all year long we have tourist, so shops, restaurants and bars are open; we also have a small cinema and a gym.
It has two faces: sea and mountains. Trekkings, MTB, downhill, walking paths, and even skiing is possible just a few kilometers from here . Varazze has a big touristic harbour, and an amazing promenade, part of which (Lungomare Europa) links Varazze with the nearby town and is surrounded by greenery and white rocks.
From april to october the shore is equipped, in winter is free; the temperature here never goes under zero degrees Celsius.
This town is exceptional because it's in the middle of Liguria, near Genoa, in Ponente riviera: it's a great base to visit northern Italy (only 1.5 hours from Milan) and in a daily trip you can go visit Lake Como and the stunning surroundings or Venice, skiing in the Alps, and 3 hours from Provence and France.

I prefer long-term exchanges, minimum lenght 2-3 weeks. I would stay in a big city, with a public transport network.
I will be happy to take care of your pets. I have a sweet and affectionate cat too, but I will bring him to my parents in Milan, unless the exchange partner is willing to take care of him.

I am a young woman, born in Milan; I lived there until I graduated two years ago, then I decided to move here, found a job and lived quietly.
Now I'd like to add a bit of pepper to my life and travel, house-exchange gives me the possibility to stay in a place for quite a long period, to truly experience the authentic lifestyle of that country.
At the moment I would like to visit Australia, staying in one of the biggest cities for at least 2-4 weeks.
I am free from october-november 2012.
I will be by myself, maybe my best friend could come with me.

I am also looking for a very long term house swap (some months), I am open to other destinations in english- speaking countries.
