Ten minute walk to the ocean. Two miles from Pebble Beach Golf Course, resort, spa. One mile from Spyglass Hill Golf Course. One and one half mile to Cypress Point Golf Club. One and one half mile from Spanish Bay Golf Corse, resort and spa. One half mile from Monterey Peninsula Golf Club. One and one half mile from Poppy Hills Golf Club. ( All within the gated community of Pebble Beach - 17 mile drive). Minimal traffic with only one stop sign between our home and all of the golf courses. Less than five minute drive to all of the course. Close to famous Carmel by the Sea, Pacific Grove, and Monterey are all part of the Monterey Peninsula. San Francisco is one hundred miles north which is an easy day trip. Napa Valley and Sonoma are also day trip distance from our home. Big Sur and the Hearst Castle are just south of here. Whale watching, kayaking, fishing, hiking and much more are easily available. This is our second home, so it is available almost any time. The weather here is nice the entire year. The use of a car would be included for qualified drivers, and domestic help is available.
We are retired and open to interesting destinations, although we do hope to be able to include a few games of golf.

I have traveled to Europe, Asia, South America and Africa in addition to many parts of the USA. I think Pebble Beach is the most lovely place I have ever seen. It has been described as the most beautiful convergence of land and sea in the world. There are countless things that we take for granted such as the Spanish Missions, art galleries in Carmel, tremendous restaurants with local and regional wine, multiple local vineyards where tasting is welcomed, shopping that I have yet to see a woman dissatisfied with, jazz festival, internationally renowned antique automobile show and auction, sport car and motorcycle races, Monarch Butterfly migration, equestrian events, and the list goes on. Golf, golf and more golf.
This area is quiet, sophisticated, very little traffic, and very few strange people. Unlike the stereotypical "California" commonly portrayed in the media. For more information, go to the web and look up Monterey County California and/or Central Coast California.

We are retired. Dates are open except we like to be with the family around Christmas.

Quite open to location. We would like to have a chance to play golf. Ireland, Northern Ireland England, Australia, New Zealand, Spain and Portugal are of interest.

My wife Becky and I are nearly empty nesters. We have one 18 y/o daughter. The rest are settled with their families except one daughter in New York. We have done quite a lot of traveling, but we keep thinking of other places we would like to visit. We have done one exchange to Crecy La Chapelle, France and we did another one for St Andrews Scotland last August. We would prefer to exchange with more mature people. No pets.
