Our apartment is placed in a typical "Eixample" building, which defines the urbanism of XIXth century in Barcelona. It is a loooong and large flat (90 m2) facing on one side a lively street (living & kitchen), and on the other, a big, quiet and peaceful block’s patio -a hallmark of Eixample (photo)-, where the bedroom and the gallery are placed. Both sides are filled with light, depending of the hour of the day. Or what is the same, that there is always a fresh area throughout the day. The gallery is a very pleasant Mediterranean space, where we love to spend many hours... In fact, we are in it now and it’s great!!!
The studio and the bathroom are also faced to a smaller interior patio.
In keeping with the house, we have Catalan Modern furniture… we are architects ;). The apartment has only one bedroom with a large bed, but the sofa in the living can become a futon if you need to.

Our apartment is perfect for visiting Barcelona, as it’s really, really well located.
The block is only 3 streets from Paseo de Gracia, 8 min. walking from Casa Batlló (Gaudí) and the train Station (to Airport), 4 min. from the Metro station (Universitat), 10 min. walking to Pl. Catalunya... We are in the Center, but not in the busy area. In addition, we are behind the Universitat Central and next to Enric Granados, a very nice and quiet pedestrian street (photo) where you’ll find lots of restaurants, like “Origens” or “Etapes” (both authentic Catalonian cuisine), Cheese Art… and ice cream shops as DelaCrem (we love that place!), or you can take a brunch or a fabulous juice in "Cosmos" ...
And, if you have time (because Barcelona has many things to see), do not hesitate to visit the art galleries that focus on our street.
Of course, there are plenty of supermarkets, greengrocers, etc. just under house... But if you want to know traditional markets, you can walk to St. Antoni market (12min), la Boqueria (16min), and the one we like the most, La Concepció, just 15 min. from here.

We‘re a friendly young couple both in early 30’s (Alex 34 and Lara 32) with no kids… yet! We have a cat in the meantime :)... By the way, if you don’t feel like taking care of it, we can lead it to a friend’s house.
We are both enthusiastic architects who like to spend their spare time being with family and friends, we love to go out to dinner, enjoying a good meal, visiting exhibitions and museums, attend dance performances ... And above all we love to travel and know other cities!
