Our location, in the Berkshire Hills, in the heart of New England will give you full exposure to New England and its plethora of activities and interesting sights and venues. This location is near Williamstown, home of the world-class Clark Art Institute and the Williams College Museum of Art. In July and August there is The Williamstown Theater festival and more. There are more things going on in the Berkshires than I can list, but a few of them include Tanglewood, the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, The Normam Rockwell Museum and the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art in North Adams. We are a half hour from Vermont and 2 hours from New Hampshire. New York and Boston are three hours away and Montreal five hours. An hour west is Albany, NY with the New York State Museum and the Albany Institute of History and Art. The house is new, modern, fully furnished and it is our primary residence. If you like to walk or hike, there are beautiful places all around us for you to enjoy.

We are on a rural dead-end road with 13 other houses. It is a very quiet location. There are beautiful views in all direction. We see Mt Greylock in one direction and local forest views in other directions.

An automobile is included in the exchange. We are not smokers and do not permit smoking in the house. No pets are permitted. We have exchanged our home before. Our neighbors and friends will make you welcome and be available to answer your questions. It may be possible for us to arrange for someone to meet you on arrival or perhaps we could be here when you arrive and we could leave the next day.

We would like to exchange in 2011. October is the ideal time to be in New England to see the trees in the full display of their fall color. October 12 is the peak of the color

We are both retired. Doris was a social worker and I am an Architect (Yes, I designed the house) . In our retirement we have enjoyed art and music, travelling, reading and more. This is a superb location. In addition to our wonderful museums, there is lots going on. There are always events at Williams College and at other nearby locations.
