Our Home
Our house is a cosy, comfortable 3-bedroom family home located in a popular central London neighbourhood.
We are minutes from the parks, cafes/shops/restaurants and public transport, and only 10 mins from the heart of London.
Built in 1900, the house is equipped with everything you could need including flat-screen TV, Wifi, two reception rooms, a new bathroom, a kitchen with seating.
There are two bedrooms available - 1 with double bed, 1 with twin beds where we can accommodate 4 - 5 people.
There is another bedroom where we will store our things, unless you need the extra space.
There is also a patio garden with a fig tree that produces luscious fruit all summer long.
We have a calm, friendly cat called Cooper, who comes with the house.

Our Neighborhood
Our house is in Herne Hill, a lovely London neighbourhood with a village-y feel, where you'll find small, local shops including greengrocers, bookshops, giftshops, a small supermarket and 5 pubs! Brockwell park is minutes away, with its outdoor pool, playgrounds and walled garden. Herne Hill train station is 5 mins walk.
Nearby also is the vibrant, trendy and multicultural area of Brixton, with markets, cinema, shops and award-winning cafes and restaurants.
We love the area we live in - it is full of families, young creatives and professionals - but we also love the fact that with public transport we can be in the heart of London in 15 minutes, enjoying the river, parks, museums/galleries and West End shops and theatres.
In less than an hour, we can be taking a walk in the green, English countryside and stopping for a pub lunch.
We hope you will make yourself at home, and enjoy the use of our house and the things in it (we have a wide selection of dvds, and there are lots of books, kids' toys etc..).
We have a bike you could borrow, and there are 2 children's bikes, as well as the London cycles available throughout the city, for rides along the river Thames, or around the streets and parks of our local area.
Please note: we have wifi but we don't currently have a computer available.

About Us
We are a family of four: I'm Shazea, a poet, translator and teacher; my husband Bill is an actor and writer; and we have two children - Mia and Cyrus aged 11 and 6.
My husband and I lived in Spain for 4 years before settling in London, and although this will be our first home exchange, we have travelled widely, and are looking forward to more travel now that our children are older, mostly in the school holidays.
We are very considerate and responsible and would treat your home with great care.
