It’s great to sit in our garden (100 m2, with a big picnictable, a terrace, and a trampoline) and relax in the house (180 m2). We have a nice kitchen (with normal dishwasher, microwave, cooker etc) where you can sit at the bar while one is cooking. Of course in our living space (40 m2 ) you can read (we also have some English books), watch television, listen to the music, use one of the computers and the internet or even play piano. At the first floor we have three bedrooms with tv (a masterbedroom with a kingsize double bed, a bedroom with an electric adjustable bed and one with a roomsaving high teenage bed), one of the two toilets and a bathroom (two sinks, a bath and a shower). At the second floor we have one more, rather large, bright, bedroom with tv, a study with two workingspots, the laundry-area and a roof-terrace.

Our house is functional and decorated to make you feel good. We’d love to make your visit unforgettable!

This house is situated in a fine neighbourhood from which you can easily make trips by car. In 5 minutes you are on the highway. One block away the Dutch ‘polder’ starts where you have the typical Dutch views. There you can start your trail: by bike (we have five good bikes you can use), running, skating and/or hiking.

Zoetermeer is a leisure-city: it has Burggolf (golfing), Dutch Water Dreams (rafting, bodyboarding, freeriding), Silverdome (iceskating), Snowworld (skiing), Ayers Rock (climbing), Noord Aa (surfing, sailing, outdoor swimming), Swimmingpool het Keerpunt (indoor swimming), Holland Indoor Karting (karting) and a lot of sports to do (Dekker Sport: tennis, squash, bowling) and to be watched (soccer, fieldhockey) all within 8 km.

Of course you can also go and visit 'free' Amsterdam (45 km) with the Anne Frank-house, the canals and the coffeeshops, modern Rotterdam ( 20 km) with its worldharbor, the beaches or Madurodam in green The Haque (12 km), historic authentic and cultural towns like Leiden (10 km) and Delft (12 km) or one of the various musea nearby.

Shops, a health care-center, busstop and lightrailstop are at walking distance (5 minutes): at the beginning of the street you'll find all the basic supplies you need!

If you like to, you are free to use our librarymembership: In the center of town you can borrow for free all the english (listening) books, cds, dvds and such you can find! Zoetermeer Center also has a theatre, but whether there will be english plays, we don't know.......

We’d love to make your visit unforgettable in this country which is known for its tulips, wooden shoes, mills and dikes (and its fight against the water) but if you ask me: Our country is distinctive because of the biking: biking is functional, rather safe here because of all the biking paths, fun and good for your health, feel of freedom and independence: also the children can go their own way 

three weeks in the upcoming summerhollidays: from about july 14th until aug 4th 2012

I would just LOVE to stay at a beachhouse at walking distance to a great beache and be able to bike with the five of us along the countryside!!!!

Menno (lawyer) and Manita (entrepreneur and coach) have three children: Talisa (15), Tycho (13) and Iva (10). We all play fieldhockey and like sports: We sometimes run, ski, skate and we bike a lot. We like to be outside. We always try to dine together which is not always possible because of the trainingschedules. Esp in the weekends we love to eat with friends. We like to sing (some quality differences there :)). We do some gardening, we read, study, watch movies, play and entertain with social media. Menno is hockeycoach and chef cook. Manita is always busy: Her credo is: live, learn and laugh! Talisa sings and plays the piano ( a delight!). Tycho has a lot of his classes in highschool in the english language. He does a good job but prefers to play :). Iva is also most happy playing outside with a lot of friends!

Furthermore we have two nice cats: Tinky and Zep (main coon). (By the way they are only permitted to be downstairs (and certainly not in the bedrooms!!!) and in our own (fenced) garden.)
