This is our second home so it is available for exchange year round and sometimes at short notice. The fully equipped bungalow is set in a cul-de-sac in a quiet residential area less than one mile from Aviemore centre which has many shops, pubs and a variety of restaurants. It is newly decorated and furnished in a stylish but comfortable manner. A well stocked supermarket, Fish & Chip Shop, Pizzeria and bike rental shop are only 150m from the property.

All rooms are on the ground floor and most have views to the Cairngorms. Fitted dining kitchen with double oven, dishwasher, fridge freezer and washing machine. Attractive lounge with leather sofas, TV, DVD player and Wi Fi with unlimited download. Master bedroom with leather kingsize bed. Second bedroom with twin beds which can be zip linked if necessary. There are two folding beds: a double bed which can be set up in the lounge and a single which could be set up either in the twin room or the lounge as required. Bedding and towels are provided. A cot and high chair are also available.

The garden which has outdoor furniture is fully enclosed making it suitable for young children. There are three play parks nearby.

Transport links are excellent with a local railway station and a frequent buses to Glasgow and Edinburgh. Inverness Airport is a 40 minute drive.

Aviemore in the beautiful Cairngorms National Park is a year-round holiday destination with many wonderful amenities: mountain biking, wind surfing, sailing, skiing, hill walking, river rafting and fishing are all possible. The world famous ospreys at Boat of Garten are only a short drive away. Inverness the Capital of the Highlands and the Moray Firth famous for its dolphins lie 29 miles to the north. Loch Ness is a short distance from Inverness where you can look for 'Nessie' the world famous 'Loch Ness Monster".

Scotland is thought by many to be the "Home of Golf" and many interesting courses are only a short drive away including Castle Stuart, Royal Dornoch and Nairn.

Normally we travel as a couple so only need accommodation with one bedroom but we would like to also have the opportunity to travel with other family members so larger properties would be considered.

We are also able to offer hospitality to a couple at our main home in Fortrose on the Black Isle. This is set beside the sea and has wonderful views over the Moray Firth and sometime of the local dolphin population.

Willing to negotiate upwards on your length of stay if your property is larger/of a higher standard than ours.

We both love Italy and have enjoyed many wonderful holidays there. Southern Italy is relatively unknown to us so we would like to spend some time there.

We would also be interested in finding a exchange to a ski resort in Europe or North America.

We are Mike and Maureen a retired Head Teacher and a recently retired ICT professional.

We love living in the beautiful Highlands of Scotland and enjoying what it has to offer. Separately or together we enjoy skiing, cycling, hill walking and gardening.

Travel is a mutual passion and we have travelled extensively in Europe and beyond. Home exchange has given us the opportunity to make new friends and enjoy their countries and lifestyles.

Between us we have five children and nine grandchildren to love and enjoy and are very fortunate that we see most of them regularly.
