We live in the beautiful tourist destination of Lake Macquarie, 1.5 hours north of Sydney and 20 mins south of Newcastle. We live here for the fantastic lifestyle, surrounded by lakes to the west, amazing beaches and national parks to the right (5 minute drive) and the world renowned wine growing region of the Hunter Valley an hour North West. Sydney is close enough for a day trip (1.5hrs) and Newcastle is also close by (25mins). Our home is large, open plan, modern and recently renovated with views of the lake from the loungeroom, kitchen, master bedroom and balcony. The french doors open onto a large balcony out the front where you can sit and watch the sunset over the lake and to the entertaining deck out the back. There are 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a deep bath with heat lamps, modern kitchen with dishwasher, a fireplace, a large backyard with an entertaining deck and bbq, a cubby house, slide, trampoline and swing. We have a baby so our house is child safe with safety gates, has plenty of toys, a cot, change table, highchair etc . A car swop can be aranged. We have a Toyota Prado 4 wheel drive (auto) with a baby seat. You will need a car here. We also have a national parks sticker so you don't have to pay. You can also hire a boat and pull up on one of the beaches along the lake for swimming and fishing.

Our neighbourhood is very quiet and safe and there are beautiful walks from our house along the shores of the lake. For dining, there are some great local pubs at Catherine Hill Bay and Caves Beach or for fine dining i recommend Pelican or Newcastle for more action. For clothes shopping there is Charlestown square 15 mins away, Newcastle boutiques or Sydney. For food shopping, Swansea is 5 mins away. There is abundant wildlife around here and you may see dolphins, kookaburras, cockatoos, wallabies and wombats. There is also a tourist information centre 5 mins drive from here in Swansea. Catherine Hill Bay beach has beautiful surf and is around a 5 minute drive. There are plenty of other beaches (both with surf and flat) plus a national park to explore. There is a childrens park on the lake with bbq areas and a small shop, post office and public telephone about 100 mtrs down the road.

We are a healthy, active, non smoking couple in our 30's and manage our own roofing company. We were both brought up in Sydney but came to live here because it's just like being on holidays all the time and we love the peace,natural beauty and all that surf! We are very respectful of other peoples property and privacy and will leave your house in spotless condition.
