Our Home
Our apartment, in a quiet street close to lively Bergmannstrasse with its many cafés and restaurants, is on the top floor of a five-storey apartment block. The apartment has two roof terraces, one facing north and one facing south (so there's always sun!); the north terrace has a nice view to the Berlin tv-tower. The apartment has 80 sqm, including bedroom, office and a large, sunny living space. Because we're both researchers we have lots of books; the style of the apartment is a mix of modern, (fleamarket) antiques and Ikea.
Our Neighborhood
We live in Kreuzberg, one of Berlin's most popular areas to go out in: lots of restaurants, cafés, shops, etc. Bergmannstrasse is about two minutes walking distance, and around the corner is our favourite Italian café Molinari which has excellent breakfasts, coffees and Italian food.

About Us
We are a Dutch/German couple and live, after having lived in Amsterdam, Rwanda and Zurich, again in Berlin. Roger is a linguist and works at the university as a researcher. Birgit is a clinical psychologist also working in research at the medical hospital. We also have Franzi, a cheery white Tibetan-Terrier with black ears. We have done already a number of home exchanges with people in New York, London and Reykjavik and really enjoyed them. We like our neighbourhood a lot because of its energy and easygoing atmosphere, but we also like to travel.
