When we moved to Brussels, we were looking for a classic Brussels apartment near open space and public transportation. We found our match plus much more in this place. Elegant, classic and bright, our home is one the first floor (second for Americans) of a gorgeous house built in 1892. It is 130 square meters (~¨1300 ft), three bedrooms and one bath with separate bath and shower. Great, fully equipped kitchen and the living room/dining space is completely open and connected to the kitchen. The molded ceilings are 4 meters high (16 feet) meaning it always feels bright and airy.

The home is set up from the street and overlooks a 500 m2 garden in the back. All modern amenities (internet, TV, stereo).

The master bedroom is large and very comfortable with a new Beka bed.

The second bedroom is currently a guest room/photography studio! I has a pulled out bed which sleeps two as well as a queen sized matress which is used for photoshoots but can easily sleep two more.

The third bedroom is the nursery for our one year old. You are welcome to used it for your child or make a small bed on the floor.

The apartment is up one flight of wide stairs with no lift so may be tricky for those with disabilities.

We really love this place and are happy to share it with the right group.

Our home is located in the European Quarter. We are literally just behind the European Commision.

Located within 5 minutes walk of the beautiful Parc du Cinquantenaire, Berlaymont is filled with attractive streets of early 20th century town houses. It is home to many European institutions and has fantastic public transport facilities. Local restaurants number among Brussels and Europe's best.


Our neighborhood is called the European District's because as you walk around, you can hear all European languages. Families and young professional flock to this district for the atmosphere, beauty and access to European institutions.

Only 10 minute to central Brussels by metro. All of Brussels and the surrounding countryside are accessible from here.

We are a married couple in our 30's. Both work in professional services and in doing so, have had a chance to travel all around the world. We are passionate about photography, cooking, the outdoors, new adventures and also like to get back to our home countries a couple of times per year. Nicole is from the USA (San Francisco) and Bjorn is from Sweden.

In February 2012 we welcomed our first child, Zoe. She is an experienced world traveler and moves with her own crib.
