Our Home
We live just a few blocks away from historic downtown Fredericksburg. Our small little house provides a great getaway for couples whether it's for a weekend or longer. As young newlyweds, we have enjoyed the quiet streets, big backyard and wonderful walks into town that make this a great little nook for 2 people.
As self-diagnosed "foodies" we have outfitted our small kitchen with some of the best cookware that William-Sonoma has to offer. So whether you feel like staying in or walking into town for a great meal, there's really nothing that should stand in your way! We have a large TV accompanied with a substantially developed DVD collection (My wife says it's not as gender neutral as she would like) as well as a few great books compiled into a small library.
Our location is setup beautifully for people interested in motorcycle touring, bicycling, hiking at Enchanted Rock, shopping on Main Street or touring all the vineyards and wineries. It's also quite the place for some wonderful Texas Hill Country R&R.

Please feel free to ask us any questions you may have! We would love to talk to you! And we are very much open to non-simultaneous exchanges as well, it's whatever suites you!

Our Neighborhood
One thing you might notice very quickly is how wide our street is. Because the house is located in the historical area of Fredericksburg, the streets have maintained their original design from 1846. They were made extra-wide so that a horse drawn carriage could make a u-turn without holding up street traffic. This has been a key feature in the development of the town since it allows homes to feel much more private.
The streets are very quiet and there is hardly any traffic which makes it a great launch point for long walks or bike rides.
Fredericksburg is known for it's German heritage. Main Street is a classic small town causeway that has been carefully preserved to maintain its old fashioned Americana feel. The shops consist of boutiques, antique stores, wine tasting rooms, art galleries and German restaurants. For people who like wine, we have been unofficially dubbed "The Tuscany of the South", a home to over 30 vineyards and wineries. Our street intersects North Milam, the highway to nearby State Natural Area: Enchanted Rock, a great place for hiking, camping and rock climbing. For cyclists, our roads are perfect for long rides through the rolling hills. For the lazier folks, this offers a doubly advantageous arena for motorcycles and sports cars.

About Us
View Feedback About My Exchanges
My wife, Emily, and I got married on an island off the coast of Maine during October of 2011. We love to cook, exercise, read, watch movies, spend time outdoors, and travel. But like any newly-married couple, the travel budget is a bit on the light side so we have begun to wax creative in our endeavors. We love the idea of sharing our home and our things with people if it means we get to see a few more places during our younger years.
When you come and visit, you will notice a few quirky bits of our home that will further indicate the standard method of prioritization that characterizes most newly-wedded couples. Our king sized bed is really 2 twin beds pushed together and covered with a mattress topper, meanwhile in the kitchen we sport a handsome array of cooking finery. Our sound system is extremely good, but it was pieced together during my college/music business days. My wife has a knack for interior design and has taken our little home to new heights by expertly combining unique colors with original art and a few wonderful antique furniture pieces from the British colonial era.
I currently work with my dad in commercial realestate in Fredericksburg and Emily works part-time at a stationery shop on Main Street. We both enjoy our jobs, but are always looking for new places to venture on weekends or vacations.
We love life and we live it to the fullest. We keep our place neat, and extremely clean, a habit that has allowed us to stay in many wonderful homes all over the world. We hope to make every place we visit just a little bit better than when we got there.
