Our Home
We live in a beautiful tranquil rural environment known as Hepburn Park located only 3kms to the pretty township of Warkworth. Our character home sits in a valley surrounded by wonderful native bush where there are are spectacular views of our ponds and fields some with grazing sheep. It is a peaceful, secure and quiet environment, where the sounds of the native birds abound, and where only two neighbouring homesteads share the country lane driveway. Our house is open plan with a modern kitchen, comfortable lounge and dining area. The large sunny master bedroom with ensuite and panoramic views is upstairs and a double bedroom and main bathroom is downstairs. Our main entertaining area is the large paved and covered patio area opening out from the lounge and extending into a picturesque lawn and garden space. There is an attractive art studio also sporting spectacular views and offering much inspiration set above the double garage. Our three bay barn, several ponds, bush and hideaway macrocarpa cottage can be viewed from here.

Our Neighborhood
Warkworth township (pop. approx.3,500) is only 35mins drive from Auckland city and is an amazing place and base from which to explore the northern areas of NZ. A pretty country area it has proximity to many beaches, vineyards and art galleries. It is an artisan location that is close to the well know and popular area of Matakana which hosts farmer's markets, trendy shopping and an attractive cinema complex. Warkworth is located on the eastern Pacific Coast and is close to opportunities for many activities such as walking, tramping, swimming, boating and fishing. The community is caring and the people friendly.

Other Information
We are open to home exchange opportunities in most parts of Europe and the United Kingdom. Our preferred times of travel to these places would be between May 2012 and December 2012, however we are open to possibilities outside this time frame.
We have previously lived in the Sunshine Coast of Queensland in Australia and would enjoy an exchange almost at any time in this location. Would also consider Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and surrounding environs.
An exchange within NZ also appeals, maybe a swap with another artist in the South Island who could have use of our studio whilst here.
We would be happy to look after cats if you have one. We have a 16 year old much loved pussycat so understand.

Our Destinations
We would love a home exchange in many parts of France. We would be open to posssibilities in most parts of Australia. We loved living in Mooloolaba and Buderim a few years ago and would be very happy to return for a holiday, short, medium or longer term.
We also love the South Island of NZ and as artists would be very happy to exchange with another artist who could also have use of our studio whilst here.
