We live in an houseboat in Amsterdam. It's build in 2006. Our house is 300m2. Outside there is a terrace (130m2) and it's at a forest/park. You can walk in to it from our house. Of course it's on the water cause its an houseboat. At the water side there is a terrace also where are the small boats for playing at the water. In summer you can swim in the water.
Inside we have a big living place. The living and kitchen are in the same room (80m2).
Upstairs there is an open floor.At the moment it's playground for the kids and for computers. And also the office.
Downstairs we have 4 sleeping-rooms, a laundry room and a bathroom with bath, separate shower and a toilet.

We have a separate apartment inside. With two sleepingrooms. So when you need more space it's also yours.(see www.houseboatrental.nl).

Our house is situated in a quiet part of the city. You can relax, swim, peddeling and enjoy nature but you can also go to the city-center. It's 10 minutes by bus and also 10 minutes by bike Our kids love to stay at home. They are always in the water with their boats, bodyboards or surfboards.

The modern houseboat lies within lain A10 Amsterdam in quarter North. Particular quietly and idyllic! In only 6 minutes - by car - you cross the IJ by ferry (free of charge!) and brings you at Central Station. Ash from this location within some minutes walk you'll find yourself in the sociable and upheaval towncentre. Here you enjoy art, culture, chronicle, shops, cafes, museums, architecture, etc.

We have to go in the schoolholiday other periods our kids have to go to school.

We like some place in the sun.(spain,french, portugal,)

We are Arjan(40)and Vera(41) and our 3 kids, Sjors(10), Thijs(8) and Tommy(6). Vera works as a teacher on a primary school and Arjan has a tugboat and does maritiem services in and around Amsterdam.
We like to go for holidays to a warm and nice place. Most time we ended at places where we can swim in sea or lake and buy a fresh fish at the harbour. The kids like to swim or go by dinghy(zodiac) or surf.
Last years we went to france and spain by car on a camping site. We like to go to the "secret"spots. So not so many tourist but enough to do. When there is a sea or swimmingpool and the weather is hot, we have enough to do.
