.My 78 square meter flat is located on the 4th floor of an old apartment building (built in the late 1920's. It is very close the center of city which is less than 5 minutes drive with a car or the tram. The area I live in is considered the most trendy area in Dusseldorf. Flingen, is the name of the area and has lots of charming cafes, great restaurants, and trendy shops and bars.
My flat is about a 20 minute walk from the Old Town, the Köingsallee (the exclusive shopping area in town), and a bit further away, about 30 minutes you can be strolling on the Rheinpromenade. Many different bus lines, trams and trains are less than two minutes from the building. The Main Station is 15 minutes in walking distant from the flat or five minutes with the tram or bus. Nearby is the Grafenbergerwald, where you can find lots of hiking paths, walking paths, cycle paths and jogging paths. In just a minutes from my flat you can walk to numerous art galleries, shops, a public swimming pools both indoor or outdoor, restaurants and cafes.
There are parking facilities in front of my building but I must add there are difficult to find in the evening so once you get a parking place but move your car. By car it takes less than five minutes to City Centre or Downtown, where there's are lots museums, shops, bars, night clubs, cafes, restaurants and lots more.
It's modern three room flat with a big living room, in the living room there'a a couch and 2 arm chairs, a bedroom with a double bed (160 x 200), 5 1/2 meter wardrobe, make-up table and a small balcony. The kitchen is modern and there is a little table that two-three people can eat at. The bathroom is a bit small but there is a bath tube. In the office / living room, one can eat more comfortably as there's a big table and chairs if one wants to dine properly. There is also W-LAN in the flat.
