Our apartment is located in small house (which consists of 6 apartments) on the hillside of Budapest (II. district) close to the forest in a quiet area, yet 15 minutes to city center. The apartment has 3 bedrooms and a living room with American type kitchen plus shower and bathroom. Two terraces and a small garden are around the house, which allow you to relax with a glass of beautiful Hungarian wine or cook in the open air.

Our home is equipped with sat TV, set top box, dvd, media player and laptop with wireless and cable internet access. We have some cartoons for the baby and some films for adults on dvd. We also have a lot of toys for babies.

The bus stop is 5 minutes walk from the house and it comes in every five-seven minutes.

Budapest is the capital of Hungary and the heart of the country. Established over 900 years ago but offers modern and retro experiences in the same time. The city holds cultural memories of Turkish, Austrian or Soviet union occupation. The advertisement tells about this.

Turkish visitors enjoyed to stay over 150 year here in Hungary, Austrian neighbors spent over 300 years in the country and Soviet friends spent over 45 years here. Why don’t you stay another day with us?

Budapest was formed in the 19th century from Buda, Pest and Óbuda. These merge created one of the biggest capital in central Europe. 1.7 million inhabitants are in the city and all together is around 3 million with suburban people. Budapest is the economical and cultural center of Hungary. The city is famous about its spas and cultural life but offers historical, culinary, sport and musical experiences to the visitors. During the festive season (spring and summer) there are conceerts around the city (Spring festive, Sziget or Arena concerts).

In the neighborhood there are some charm city to worth to visit : Szentendre (15 km) is the city of painters, Visegrad is city of ruins of King’s castle, Esztergom is the city of Basilika or Gödöllö is famous about the castle of Sissy (queen Elisabeth). Etyek is the closest city to Budapest offering wine tours and movie studios.

Balaton is the biggest sweet water lake in central Europe only 100 km/1 hour drive from Budapest. Around the lake visitors can find good food, wine, country feeling and nice beaches.

Sziget.hu - Festival 2012

We are a couple with a children. Zsolt (53 years) IT engineer in a bank. Magdi (42) works as health visitor, managing pregnant women during the pregnancy and families with small babies. Our daughter is Nora (almost 6) visiting kinder garden. We love to travel, long weekends with family and visiting theather. We often invite friends to cook in the garden and enjoy a glass of good hungarian wine. We often visit spas and good restaurants.

We are living very close to Zsolt's brother, who has 4 kids and he is also a big fun of home exchange.

We have 2 smaller bikes and we are ready to negotiate to exchange our car (a lower mid size Nissan)

We have an independent small cat, called Mini, lives in the garden, and can enter the house. We ask our guest only to feed her daily and do not let inside when the alarm system activated.

We have already completed several successful exchanges into France (Poitier,Annecy,Paris), England (Swindon), Germany (Ludwigsburg) and Ireland (Clairemorris).
