We live on 2'000 sq.ft in a 3 stories townhouse with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. On the first floor is the kitchen and a large livingroom, leading to the garden and terrace, and a toilet. On the 2nd floor is the master bedroom (queen size bed), a large children room (with 2 normal beds, 1 baby bed) and a bathroom with shower and bathtub. On the 3rd floor is a guest room (with 2 normal beds), an office and a bathroom with shower. The house has a cellar with storage space and a laundry room. All floors are accessible via an internal stairway (no elevator). All rooms have wooden parquet flooring (no carpets) and floor heating. The garden (3'000 sq.ft) is on 3 sides around of the house. On a stone paved terrace (facing south-west) there is enough space for a large garden table and the BBQ. The rest is a lawn garden, with a sandbox and a swing for kids, apple, pear and plum trees, some rasberry bushes and a little vegetable garden.

Our house is a townhouse in a friendly neighborhood (development with 60 townhouses) in Greifensee, a small town 10 miles south-east of Zurich, at the lake of Greifensee. The lake of Greifensee is a natural protected area. A walking/biking trail runs along the lake (12miles).The lake with natural swimming is within walking distance from our house (0.5 miles). Shopping is just around the corner (500 feet). The train station is 0.5 miles walking.
From Greifensee you reach Zurich downtown in 15 minutes by car or train. Excellent public transport with trains every 15mins to/from Zurich. Zurich is the biggest city of Switzerland, along a picturesque lake, offering all the amenities of this great city.
From Greifensee you can reach within 1 hour by car the mountains (Alps), the black forrest area in South Germany or the Alsace in south France.

Summer 2012

We have relatives in San Diego that we would like to visit. We prefer to be very close to the Beach.

We are a family of 5, with 3 little kids (2, 4, and 6 years old), earning our living with Banking and Medical assistance.
We are sportive, nature oriented, kids-loving, non-smoking family that likes to explore and travel. As Switzerland has no sea, we like to spend our vacations at the sea. We lived 3.5 years in the US (New York and Connecticut) and have relatives in San Diego.
