About Us
We are Mike (67 and from the UK) and Claudette (56 and from Trinidad) and have lived in Asheville for the last 6 years and love it. Mike worked in the oil industry for 30 years, before changing careers and moving into the IT business. Claudette was a stay at home mum and once the kids grew up and left home, we moved to Asheville from Texas to enjoy the mountains, the wonderful climate, and all of the pleasures of this thriving town. We have 3 grown children who may sometimes accompany us on our home exchanges, and 2 golden retriever dogs. Much as we love them, the dogs will however go to "summer camp" when we travel.
We love to garden, hike with the dogs, and now that Mike is retired, he is enjoying playing lots of golf again. Claudette sings with a local women's chorus and does volunteer work in the community.
We love to travel and have done so quite extensively over the years both with Mike's job and for pleasure. We are respectful of other people's property and will look after your home as if it were our own. We have recently completed our fourth very sucessful exchange, and this is definitly the way to travel and see the world from a "local's" perspective. We look forward to many more such adventures.
