5 minutes from famous Burleigh Heads Beach, our beach themed, private home is perfect for an exchange as it offers a quiet, relaxed style of living and is close to all holiday amenities for you to enjoy. We have two separate living areas with televisions (both with pay television, DVD, etc.), a study (office) with iMac and high-speed internet and the kitchen overlooks the entertaining and pool area. The main bedroom has a king size bed with en-suite and is separate from the second and third bedrooms which have their own bathroom as well.

Our home is located in a quiet cul-de-sac adjacent to a public park and lake with jetty - perfect for fishing, feeding the swans or just watching the sunset. We are within 20min drive of everything the Gold Coast has to offer. Theme parks include Dreamworld, Seaworld, Movie World, Wet and Wild, Australian Outback Spectacular and Currumbin Sanctuary. Shopping is a must with 3 major shopping centers including the very popular Robina Town Centre just up the road along with the lesser known but ultra-cool James Street, Burleigh Heads shopping village. Or you can just go straight to the tourist mecca that is Surfers Paradise. Our restaurants are outstanding and offer cuisines from all over the world.

From Surfers Paradise to Coolangatta, the Gold Coast has the most beautiful surfing and swimming beaches in Australia. Our sub-tropical climate and warm water will draw you to the beach everyday and you will always leave with a smile. We are also renowned for having a large variety of quality golf courses that suit all standards and just have to be played while you are here.

Further from the Gold Coast we have Brisbane (Queensland's capital) just one hour to the north and the stunning Byron Bay one hour to the south. The Sunshine Coast is another popular holiday destination another one hour north of Brisbane while Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef are only a two hour flight away. Sydney is a one hour flight from the Gold Coast and Melbourne two hours. Domestic flights within Australia are very reasonably priced.

We would love to be in Hawaii, USA during your winter when the surf season is on and are also interested in visiting Southern California, Colorado and New York. We also like our AFL Football so a week in Melbourne in winter would be fun.

Belinda and myself (Daniel) have two beautiful children, Zade and Meka. We are both teachers and are looking to travel around our school holidays and can take leave if necessary. We are very active, love the beach and everything it has to offer. We are sure that you will enjoy our home as much as we do and look forward to some wonderful exchanges in the future.
