Our Home
We have a two-bedroom, two-bath view condominium with a great room layout, high ceilings located in coastal Los Angeles County near Santa Monica. Two sets of double french doors open out to a private patio balcony with views across an outdoor fireplace and swimming pool to the ecological preserve and Santa Monica Bay. Our home comes with once a week housecleaning and a car. A concierge services coordinator is on duty Monday through Saturday.

Our Neighborhood
The community is unique as it is surrounded by nature trails and many parks, a library, community pools, tennis and basketball courts, restaurants and shops, including a Saturday Farmers Market. While our property is separated from an ecological preserve by a major street, it is easy to cross at two locations for hiking and birdwatching in this preserve. Also just a long block away to the north is Ballona Creek Bike Trail which connects to twenty-five miles of gorgeous beach bikepaths along Santa Monica Bay. On weekends between Memorial Day and Labor Day a free bus shuttle runs through Marina del Rey to Venice Beach every half hour.

Other Information
We are a newly retired couple who love to read, travel and see the world. We also have a home in southern Baja California where we enjoy kayaking and the beautiful nature of the area.
Our home in southern California is located near the coast and has beautiful views. It is very well located for biking the beach trails, hiking the Santa Monica mountains, as well as enjoying the many restaurants and culture of the Los Angeles area.

About Us
Our names are Catherine and Tom and we are newly retired, but working part time. Tom is an attorney and Catherine is an urban planner specializing in water quality issues. We love riding bikes along the nearby beach bikepath, winetasting, and hiking along the nature trails nearby. We also have a second home in Loreto, Baja California and love to kayak there. Reading is also a big interest of ours.
We expect to travel with another family couple.
