Experience the best Southern California has to offer while enjoying waking up to views of and access to the Pacific Ocean in the Santa Monica Bay. Our two story, 4200 square ft home was built in 2007 and contains many modern amenities and comforts. You will love our large, open kitchen with French doors opening to a fantastic, spacious bbq patio and a pool above the landing. If you want to relax with a cocktail after a hard day of sightseeing, there is also a hot tub with a view of the ocean. A 5 minute walk will bring you to the ocean's edge, where you can work on your tan, boogie board, paddle an ocean kayak or take a surfing class.

Spacious home on a quiet street not far from lots of fun. Our home is located in Palos Verdes Estates in Los Angeles County. The area is known as the South Bay and includes other beach cities, such as Redondo (2 mins drive), Hermosa (10 mins drive) and Manhattan Beach (15 mins drive). Our enclave is called Malaga Cove and is situated right along the beach and includes a huge football pitch, basketball courts and baseball fields. Not far from our peaceful neighborhood you will find plenty of action. If you want to enjoy a little night life hit any of the beach cities listed above. If you are the outdoors type then you will find that biking and hiking are very popular activities and if you like to horseback ride, there are plenty of stables in Palos Verdes. Of course there is access to a multitude of water sports including surfing, ocean kayaking, sailing, deep sea fishing and diving. Great shopping and restaurants are close by, too. A 2 mins. drive will get you to the "Riviera" where there plenty of boutiques, bars, coffee shops and restaurants. A little further up the road is a good shopping mall with movie theatres, restaurants, an ice rink and coffee shops. There is alot to explore here with Disneyland only 45 minutes drive, Beverly Hills (also 45 minutes), Hollywood (50 mins), Universal studios (1 hour), San Diego (2 hours), Terranea Resort (10 mins), Trump National Golf Course(15 mins) and so much more.

Our property is located 20 mins south of LAX. It is in a quiet neighborhood with such great access to so much that southern California has to offer. We would be happy to supply bikes, skateboards and boogie boards. We exchanged once already while in London this summer for the Olympics and are ready to exchange again!

We have fixed dates as we are squeezing in travel during our boys' school break (22 December to 2 January).

We are coming to Madrid in June and could exchange 18-27 June and are planning to come to Australia 21 Dec-2 Jan) and would love to swap with those locations at those times if possible!!

We are a family of five (3 boys!). My husband, John, and I (Cynthia) keep our boys (Cameron 16, Jackson 14 and Dylan 10 years old) busy either at our house with friends at our pool, in the media room or the barbeque outside. The boys enjoy biking nearby at the big field area where they play soccer, basketball or grind their skateboards!! John and I enjoy biking to Terranea Resort or further along to Trump's Golf Course. The ride is along the ocean's edge, so the trick is to keep your eye on the road while looking for dolphins or whales, too! We love to travel and are specifically looking for Sydney Australia (21 Dec-2 Jan 2013/14)!
