Our Home

We live in a secure 4-story condo building that has an elevator and gated inside parking. Ours is a 3rd-floor, 1,800 sq. ft. corner unit with lots of windows and lots of light. We have a large master bedroom suite with a king-size bed, a bathroom and a separate sitting area. The second bedroom has 2 twin beds. We also have a small office area off the living room. The condo has a formal dining room, an enclosed deck to sip morning coffee while overlooking the golf course below. We enjoy beautiful territorial views and sunsets and often hear coyotes at night and see deer during the day. There is a large kitchen with stove, dishwasher, microwave and all necessary cooking utensils. There is a lovely heated outdoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and tennis courts on the property. We are centrally located to all that San Diego has to offer, with 20-minute drives to the beach, downtown's Gas Lamp district, Sea World, the fabled San Diego Zoo and the airport. Desert hiking trails are even closer, and San Diego is famous for its urban walks.

Our Neighborhood

Tierrasanta is called "The Island in the Hills". While we live in the city, we have the feel of being in a park. Tierrasanta is located on top of one of the many mesas in San Diego, with no through streets yet easily accessible by a couple of freeways. We are a 1-mile walk or drive to a small shopping center that has a major grocery store, a pharmacy, restaurants, a coffee shop and a gas station. Behind us is a state park with hiking trails.

About Us

I am a semi-retired, after >35 years of working as a Registered Nurse. My husband, Lynn, is a retired journalist and an avid golfer. Both of us enjoy travel, reading, walking. Last year, we made a month-long home exchange to Paris, France which was a wonderful experience. We have a daughter and 2 granddaughters who live in the Seattle area and would consider an exchange to that area.
