We live in a very pleasant 4 bedroom home located on half acre lot in a quiet neighbourhood. It is a two story home with most of the living areas being on the second floor. The living room and dinning rooms have a scenic view of the valley below. The master bedroom (queen bed) has an ensuite bathroom with a jetted tub & a shower. Two other bedrooms (one with a double bed & one with a double futon) are on the main floor along with another full bathroom. The sunroom provides a wonderful sitting area for relaxing as well as the casual eating area. In the sunroom there is a surround sound stereo system, flat panel TV with satellite TV & a PVR. A balcony is accessed off the sunroom. On the lower floor there is the fourth bedroom (queen bed), a bathroom and a large family room. There is a large hot tub in the secluded back yard. You are welcome to use two bikes and a bike rack for the car. If you are planning on skiing we have a good selection of skis that you can use, just bring or rent your own boots. Our main car is a Volvo XC-70 All Wheel Drive. It will provide you very safe travels on the snowy road to the ski hill. As we do lots of travel, it may be possible to have a non-coincident exchange.

Vernon is located in the very scenic Okanagan Valley. The many lakes provide water sports and the back drop for numerous world class golf courses and wineries. The mountains provide hiking opportunities in summer and excellent skiing in winter. We live about 10 minutes drive from Vernon, a small city of about 40,000 people. The nearest international airport is a 40 minute drive away in Kelowna. Winter brings lots of snow in the mountains and usually only a small amount in the valley. Snow conditions for excellent skiing are very reliable. Excellent skiing, both alpine and nordic, is available at Silver Star Mountain (30 minutes away) and Big White (60 minutes away). In summer the ski hills are popular for mountain biking. Okanagan Lake and Kalamalka Lake are nearby destinations for water sports. Local mountain lakes have good trout fishing. The area has many wonderful golf courses. Our summers are warm and dry; ideal for fruit orchards and vineyards. There are over 100 wineries to tour!

Rob is retired from two careers; the first one was as an air navigator in the airforce and the second as a financial planner. Donna is a retired registered nurse. We are both retired in early 2012. We have three grown children. We love to travel, ski, golf and kayak.
