We are proud to list our apartment in beautiful Manly, just outside Sydney, Australia.

We bought the apartment back in 2007 and fell in love with the light and views, as well as the great location.
We have now completed a full makeover and are happy to offer swappers a modern, comfortable family home.

The apartment is the top floor in a block of two (duplex) with three bedrooms. The Master bedroom (Queen bed) has an ensuite (shower), and the two smaller rooms have a shared bathroom (bath with shower). The two smaller rooms are furnished for kids but we can arrange to have single beds put in these rooms if required for the swap.

The open plan living area opens up onto the new west facing balcony, which has the most amazing sunsets. The latest addition is an awning so the outdoor space can be enjoyed rain or shine. We have a gas BBQ and gas heater on the balcony.

We also have a small garden at the back where you can kick a ball around, bounce on the trampoline or just lie on your back and watch the swaying trees.

We have an internal laundry room and off street parking for one car.
There are ceiling fans in master bedroom and living room, and underfloor heating in the bathrooms for those cold days (though the weather is so mild all year around that we seldom use them!). A portable airconditioning unit is available if you experience an extreme heat wave.

With new carpet throughout and bathrooms and kitchen having been replaced in 2007, we are sure you will find our home extremely comfortable.

Manly is a stunning seaside suburb only 30 minutes from down town Sydney by ferry (recently rated one of the world's best ferry rides by Travel+Leisure Magazine!).
We are blessed with both a harbour and ocean beach as Manly is located on a peninsula.

There are an endless number of activities here, mostly outdoors as the climate is pleasant all year round.
You can surf, play volleyball or dolphin spot on the ocean beach, or perhaps snorkel or kayak in the harbour?

Our home is walking distance from the ocean (10min) and harbour (20min) and generally Manly is a very easy place to get around on foot. We do however have a bus stop almost outside the door if the hill we live on gets a bit tiring!

We love the buzzing tourist scene in Manly as it has created a thriving culinary scene. We are so spoilt for choice when it comes to eating out that we seldom leave.

We have a small art gallery and cinema, heaps of shops and all the amenities of a small town (hospital, police station, etc) but you would never know it, especially where we live - our street is leafy and family friendly.

Our neighbours are wonderful and will no doubt welcome you with open arms.

Cecilia's parents are seasoned home swappers so even touch we have personally not undertaken any swaps yet we are familiar with the rules and etiquettes of homeexchange.

As the kids aren't in school yet we are very flexible - make us an offer!

We are a family of four - Simon (35), Cecilia (35), Oscar (4) and Adam (2).

Simon is an IT consultant who loves to golf and surfing, and Cecilia is a stay-at-home (currently - previously project manager for environmental initiatives) who is addicted to early morning walks along the ocean and eating yummy food!

Simon and Cecilia emigrated to Australia in 2003 for career reasons and love our new country.
We are originally Swedish and Irish but spent a large part of our formative years in Switzerland.

Our little monkeys are very well behaved and are seasoned travellers, and we can't wait to introduce them to all the wonderful things that the world has to offer!
