Our Neighborhood

My townhouse is part of a long-standing condo community in a highly desirable neighborhood. It is within a five-minute walk to shopping, restaurants and movie theaters. The Metro to downtown DC is about a 10-15 minute walk. The Capital Crescent bike/walking trail is nearby and runs along an old train track down to the Potomac river and then follows the C&O Canal tow path into the Georgetown neighborhood of DC.

A car is not really required to get around, but there is ample parking available in front of my townhouse and use of my car is negotiable. I have one bicycle available for your use.

View Feedback About My Exchanges

I am a single (divorced) woman living with one cat named Mango (visible in a couple of photos). My daughter lives in Los Angeles, and I am always interested in possible swaps there or nearby locations, especially Santa Barbara, where I have friends. Most of my career has been spent in planning and developing national health education campaigns and educational and training materials, eg, continuing medical education, for government agencies and non-profit organizations. I am basically retired except for an occasional consulting job. Currently doing volunteer work at a writing tutoring center in downtown DC.

Many years ago I lived and worked in Brussels, Belgium, and have had the travel itch ever since. Most of my international travel has been in Europe, especially France. I recently completed Home Exchange visits in Copenhagen and Stockholm.
