Our house is situated in the "Benoordenhout " , a high class residential area, in a quiet one way street . The house consists of 3 floors : ground floor , 1st. floor , 2nd. floor. Small garden in the front , at the back a garden of 6 * 16 meters.( width * depth). The garden is sunny ( if there is sun). Total square meters of the house, appr. 225. The ground floor has one big room of 4,50 * 16 meters . The entrance to the well equipped kitchen is open . Toilet. Corridor . Entrance hall.
1st floor. One very big bedroom 6 * 16 meters with a partition in the middle . Bathroom with 2 wash bowls, shower . In the bathroom is the washing machine and a dryer. One small room which we use as a walk in wardrobe and dressing room. Toilet. Corridor.
2nd. floor. 2 bedrooms : 4 * 5 meters each ; bathroom with bath , shower above the bath, 2 wash bowls and toilet.
Small room used as storage room.
We have 2 bikes available.

Our neighbourhood is very friendly. The house is close to the beach , the fishing port and yacht harbor of Scheveningen , the city centre , all can be reached easily by bike. The Central Station is 10 minutes walking distance. We are 2 minutes from the highways to the main cities in Holland . Amsterdam ( 60 km ) , Utrecht ( 60 Km), Delft ( 15 km ) and Rotterdam ( 30 km ) .However we recommend if you wish to visit other Dutch cities to go by train. Amsterdam 40 minutes, Delft 20 minutes , Rotterdam 30 minutes. Going to the country sides , car is the best option. The Belgian cities Antwerp , Brussels and Gent can be easily visited on a day trip by car or rail. Supermarket on 3 minutes walk. The "Hoytema " a high class shopping area around the corner. Two parcs , the " The Hague Forest " in which the private residence of the Queen is located and "Clingendael " on walking distance.

In principle we can exchange during the whole year. For short trips , we could do exchanges for 3 till 7 days. This probably would be trips to major cities in Europe or in the US / Canada.
Twice a year we are interested in longer exchanges from 2 till 3 weeks. In this case we would look for areas with reasonable weather. We prefer to be at the coast or not too far from the coast. If you look for reasonable temperatures in the Netherlands , mid April to mid October is the best period. If it is just culture that interests you , the whole year is fine.

Our stay preferably around 2 or 3 weeks per destination. Less is acceptable provided flying costs are reasonable.
In Europe we could do exchanges of 3,4 or 5 days for city trips.

Open to any dates

We are basically open for all destinations. In winter to destinations with a reasonable temperature.

We are a married couple . My wife is 60, I am 67. My wife owns a shop. I am retired , have worked most of my life in shipping ( sales , marketing ) , I still do projects in the shipping field . We have 2 sons , both married and we have 3 grandchildren. Both our sons live in The Hague. We both like reading and travelling.
