Our Home
Our junior suite apartment is located in West Chelsea, one of Manhattanβs most exciting neighborhoods. It is in a luxury condominium building situated adjacent to the trendy Meatpacking district, above the High Line, and near Chelsea art galleries. A 10-minute walk south on the High Line will bring you to the wonderful West Village. We have a fantastic South West view looking over downtown New York and the Hudson River where sailboats and ships gently glide by throughout the day.
The space is divided in three areas - kitchen, living room and bedroom, with plentiful closet space. The kitchen is fully equipped with top-quality brand appliances including:
β’ gas stove, 4 burners
β’ oven
β’ refrigerator with ice-maker
β’ dishwasher
β’ microwave
β’ garbage disposal
β’ toaster oven
β’ coffee maker
β’ blender.
The apartment also has:
β’ washing machine
β’ dryer
β’ full bath tub
β’ rain shower head
β’ hair dryer
β’ iron and counter-top ironing board
β’ Ultrasilencer vacuum with heap filter
β’ plentiful hallway closest space
The bedroom area is separated from the living area by floor to ceiling curtains. It is compact, just fitting the bed along with a few pieces of furniture, including:
β’ queen bed
β’ side table
β’ dresser
β’ full length mirror
β’ a large closet.
The living room area has:
β’ leather couch with two side-arm tables
β’ coffee table
β’ a retro style lounge chair
β’ writing desk
β’ table that folds open
β’ two adjustable leather bar stools
β’ two black leather and steel bar stools.
There is free unlimited WiFi in the apartment and throughout the building.
There is a video projector hooked to DVD player with a good sound system. You can connect your laptop or iPhone to the projector and speakers to enjoy web-streamed music and video.
We do not watch television but after Hurricane Sandy, we decided to add one since it is an important tool for keeping updated on the news. The TV receives 15 to 20 channels.
We love our home and the location is ideal!

Our Neighborhood
Adjacent to our apartment is the famous Chelsea Market where you will find a wonderful variety of restaurants, shops, freshly baked breads, fruit, vegetables, and fresh seafood. All kinds of enticing bistros, bars and restaurants are in the neighborhood, as well as music (Highline Ballroom), performance spaces (Joyce Dance, The Kitchen) and The Rubin Museum.
For a calmer atmosphere, walk 10 minutes south to the West Village where brownstones and small parks are interspersed with charming shops, chic boutiques and more superb restaurants and cafes.
Our apartment is next to the High Line, an oasis of planted gardens designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro. Take a stroll on this raised walkway, heading South towards the Standard Hotel to where the future Whitney Museum is being built, or north to the gallery district of Chelsea where thousands of artists show work in ever-changing exhibitions. If the weather is good, head over to The Frying Pan, a boat docked on Pier 66, to enjoy drinks and a meal right on the water.
For sports and leisure, you can buy a pass to the Equinox Gym near our condo, or check out the offerings at the Chelsea Piers gym, including golf, gymnastics, bowling, ice skating, rock-climbing and swimming in an Olympic-size pool. You can also enjoy the Hudson River Park that runs along the west side of the city. Here you can bike, jog, play mini-golf, tennis, volleyball, or enjoy a picnic on one of the inspiring piers that jut out into the Hudson River.
You can take a cab or the subway and further explore all New York City has to offer. At the end of the day, tuck into one of the inviting restaurants that dot the neighborhood. Since you are in βthe city that never sleeps,β you might choose to dance the night away in one of clubs in the Meatpacking district, and return home when the sun rises.
