Our Home

Our 2300 sq. ft. custom home in Santa Rosa (Sonoma County) is comfortable, relaxing, and private. The house is located on half an acre of property on a rural road 10 minutes from downtown. The living space is relaxing with pine-vaulted ceilings in some of the rooms and plenty of sunshine. Our house wraps around the back deck, which is an additional “room” in the summertime. Four sets of glass doors open directly to the deck. The hot tub is heated year-round and is easily accessible. The deck also contains a gas fire pit, a gas BBQ, comfortable seating, and a fountain. From the deck you can view the backyard with its 100-year old sculptural olive trees, flowers, and lawn.

The large master bedroom has a queen bed, vaulted ceilings, French doors that open onto the deck, and a view of the park-like back yard. The master bathroom was custom designed and includes a deep bathtub with jets. The tiled shower is separate. Each of the two kids’ rooms has a twin-size, junior loft bed (not as high as a bunk bed) with room for a fort underneath. A full bathroom with glass-enclosed tub/shower is across from the bedrooms. The home office is large and easily converts to an additional bedroom (with its own bathroom) with our raised, double-size airbed. French doors open onto the deck from the office as well.

The living room is large with big windows that overlook the pond and cabana in the front yard and French doors that open onto the back deck. We have an upright piano and a gas fireplace in this room. The family room is cozier and the perfect place to watch movies or play Wii. This room also has a gas fireplace. The couch opens to a double bed. Our dining room looks out to the front of the house and has easy access to the kitchen via the “pass through."

The gourmet kitchen has a large island and granite counter tops. The two sinks and two ovens make it the perfect place to prepare a wine country meal. The breakfast nook is bright and sunny with windows that open to the deck.

The front yard has a large vegetable and flower garden that you are welcome to enjoy. The fence around it keeps out the deer, raccoons, and wild turkeys that roam the forested neighborhood. Closer to the front of the house is a small pond with waterfall and an enclosed sitting area we call the cabana. It’s the perfect private spot to enjoy summer breakfasts. We hope you love our home as much as we do.

About Us

Tim, 44, is a Marriage and Family Therapist with his own private practice who enjoys playing bass guitar in a rock band (they’re really good!), coaching the kids’ soccer teams, and dreaming of the day he can just relax in the hammock. Jana, 46, is Publications Manager at an air quality consulting company. She started playing soccer in 2010, enjoys her book club and helping at the kids' school, and, now that the kids are a bit older, is looking forward to encouraging her travel bug. She studied in England and is looking forward to taking the family on many traveling adventures. We have two children: Senya is 12 and Logan is 10. They love outdoor activities, meeting new people, and experiencing new adventures. Senya loves school, playing the sax and piano, playing soccer, and ice skating whenever she gets a chance. Logan loves to run so soccer is his sport too. He likes cooking, model rocketry, and playing with friends. He is learning to play the clarinet. As a family, we enjoy bike riding, hiking, swimming, and exploring new areas. We have two friendly, indoor/outdoor cats (Max and Squeakers) who are low-maintenance but can be boarded. We also have two chinchillas who would appreciate a little kibble each day and an old fish in a small tank. We would be happy to exchange vehicles with you. We are conscientious and will take excellent care of your home.
