Our Home
Our apartment is situated in the middle of the Museum District, walking distance from everything that's interesting in the city. Yet it's in a very quiet residential street, where you can hear the birds sing in the garden. It's a compact (82 square metres) and well laid out ground floor apartment, with high ceilings creating a spacious feel.
Quite unique for central Amsterdam, it's got a fairly big back garden of about 60m2, private and green. Perfect for coffee on the deck, or dinner under the pear tree.
We live here with our 2 children, who share one light and airy children's bedroom with bunkbeds. The master bedroom is a nice size (about 16 m2) and our bathroom is large as well, with an XL bath and separate walk-in shower. The kitchen has all necessary appliances such as oven/micowave, Nespresso machine, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, etc. Also there's a separate storage room with washer and dryer. We have a fast internet connection which you can make use of.
The house has a very happy and homely atmosphere, we love living here.
Our Neighborhood
In our opinion our neighbourhood is the best place to live in Amsterdam. It's a unique combination of a quiet residential area whilst having the best things that Amsterdam has to offer right at the doorstep.
The Van Goghmuseum and Rijksmuseum are less than a 10 minutes walk away, the famous Concert building (the Concertgebouw) for classical music is around the corner, as are high end shopping areas, many restaurants and bars. Also the Vondelpark is a stone's throw away, a great place to relax, have a picknick, or let kids play in one of the playgrounds. Although most things are at easy walking distance, public transport links like trams and buses are around the corner in case you need them. We will also be leaving our bicycles for you to use, the most popular means of transport in town.

Our Destinations
We are specifically looking for exchanges for the following dates:
- 1 week from 27 April - 5 May 2013. This is the famous Queensday week.
- 3 weeks somewhere between 6 July and 18 August 2013, somewhere sunny.
We are open to any location!
Furthermore, throughout the year we love short (weekend)breaks in European cities such as Berlin, Paris, London, Barcelona. Or somewhere in the countryside. Again, we're open to any suggestions, we like to be suprised.
