Our Home
This is a classic English country cottage set in an acre of lovely gardens in the Cotswolds, close to the village of Burford. There are original flagstone floors throughout, with two huge open fireplaces. The whole property has recently been modernised so fear not, there are American standards of plumbing. We have recently added a vast kitchen diner which is open to the garden on two sides. It's gorgeous - we love it. It gives us enormous pleasure to share it with others.
Our Neighborhood
We are on the edge of the Cotswolds, one of the most beautiful areas of England, famed for its stone cottages, chocolate box villages, gorgeous countryside and stunning gardens. We are three miles from Burford, a typical 15th Century wool town and a short distance from many of the other famous Cotswold villages such as Stow on the Wold and Bourton on the Water. To the West, within 90 minutes drive is the Georgian city of Bath which looks like the film set for a Jane Austen novel. To our East lies Oxford, with its yellow stone spires and colleges. To the South is the Thames. From Oxford, London is an hour by train. To our North, and within 45 minutes drives is Stratford on Avon and the Royal Shakespeare theatre, so we are perfectly located for anyone who wants to explore England.

About Us
We both have very busy interesting jobs: Tim runs a large foundation, having previously run the Bath International Music Festival. Vivienne is a science broadcaster and journalist. Both of us love walking and exploring new places, cooking and entertaining and music. Vivienne is a very keen gardener and has previously opened her garden under the National Garden Scheme (in which private gardens of horticultural note are open to the public)
