Welcome to Nosara. Casa de Suenos (House of Dreams) is situated on the hill overlooking spectacular Playa Guinoes so that almost anywhere you are on the property you have a panoramic view along the entire length of the beach and out to the distant horizon. You can watch and hear every wave break on the beach, see the tides change, have magnificent jungle views, see monkeys close by, have excellent bird watching, see lots of other wildlife, experience the extraordinary sunsets, and view the stars in open dark southern skies. All of this and only 5 minutes to the beach.
The drive to the beaches is a small trade off for the wonderful mountain breezes, spectacular ocean and jungle views, monkeys in the trees around the casa, birds & butterflies, and the peace and privacy of the setting. When you leave the beach and come back up the hill, you leave behind the heat, dust, bugs, noise and have your own private mecca to enjoy the natural side of Nosara. Up here on the hill you are surrounded by lush greenery, the only noise you’ll hear is the pounding surf, monkeys, and birds. The mountain breezes will keep you refreshed and blow the bugs away.
Casa de Suenos is set up to meet its visitors every need. The Casa and setting provide the opportunity for complete peace or in five minutes by car, you can be at some of the finest surfing beaches in Costa Rica, wonderful restaurants, surf shops with board rentals, zip line, world class yoga studios, night life, shopping, and many interesting places to explore.
Casa de Suenos is a 2500 square foot home on two levels with high vaulted ceilings of beautiful native hardwoods. Wrap around terraces are the perfect place to sit and watch the waves, read your book, or enjoy a meal with a spectacular view wherever you look. There are comfortable loungers, rocker, and chairs to relax in. The house is built with an open floor plan with a large, modern, fully equipped kitchen with a large breakfast bar, a large dining area, living room, master bedroom, full bathroom, and laundry room on the main floor. On the lower level are two large bedrooms, a sitting room, a full bathroom, and a large locking storage room to store all your valuables during your stay. From this level you walk out to the infinity edge pool overlooking the beach. You can swim or sit with Jacuzzi jets pulsing on your back.
All of the bedrooms have air conditioning, ceiling fans and have queen size beds, closets, and reading lamps. The kitchen has everything our visitors need to make gourmet meals including blender, toaster, microwave oven, coffee maker, granite countertops, refrigerator, and stove. There’s a barbecue grill by the pool as well. The house has wi-fi internet connection and land line telephone. The dining room and living room are open to the kitchen for enjoyable group gathering.

Casa de Suenos is located on the hillside overlooking Playa Guiones which is 7 KM long. The neighborhood is luxury homes, both first and second residences, mostly separated by tropical vegetation and beautiful landscaping. Mountain breezes keep the homes cooler and bug free. The area has been described as the "Beverly Hills" of Nosara. It is a quick 5 minute drive down the hill to reach some of the best surfing beaches in Costa Rica, wonderful restaurants, and many other activities such as zip lining, shelling on the beach, birdwatching, and other nature activities. The panoramic views are spectacular and it is a great place to just relax and enjoy Costa Rica.

This is our second home so simultaneous rentals are not necessay.

We are open to all travel adventures, both urban and rural.

We are a family of two adults and two grown sons. Our eldest son lives and goes to school in Germany and our youngest is a US Marine stationed in California. Our first home is in rural Maine. Peggy and I have travelled extensively in search of our Nirvana and found it in Nosara with its tropical beauty and wonderful ocean for both riding the waves and just bobbing in the ocean. We love to walk and the beaches in Nosara are long, natural, and unencumbered. We also love to watch the wildlife, birds and butterflies that abound here in Nosara. We are avid readers so we have made sure that all bedrooms are equipped with reading lights for our guests enjoyment. We also love to swim in our deep water pool, doing aerobic exercises or just hanging on the infinity edge looking down at the beach and jungle below. We are both recently retired and ready to get out and see the world.
