We live in the countryside, but only 20 mins from the famous medieval city of Galway which is situated by the sea. Our lovely home is furnished to a very high standard but at the same time is extremely comfortable. We have ample room for a full family to stay here and we have everything you need to have a wonderful holiday. During the summer months we entertain our friends a lot in our large back garden with bbq and bar area. Plenty of room for the children to run around with a trampoline and sandpit also. We live on a small road which is great for cycling and very safe.
We have 4 bedrooms with Queen size beds and one room with bunk beds. There are also a couple of blow up mattresses if you have a large group with you so plenty of room for everyone!
We have a large garden with an orchard and organic vegetable garden which you are welcome to help yourself to. Travel to Shannon International Airport takes about 1 hour and Dublin airport is 2 hours away. Galway Airport is 15 minutes away and Knock airport is 45 mins away with flights to many European locations.
We often have lots of family staying so our house has all kinds of extras like a coffee maker and bread maker (set the timer for fresh bread in the morning!) and guest dressing gowns. We have hi-speed internet connection and cable TV. For children, we have plenty of toys, puzzles and books.

We live in beautiful peaceful farming countryside but it is only a short drive to the centre of Galway city. Close by are a number of villages with traditional Irish pubs and also a number of supermarkets. We are also located 10 mins from the famous Ballybrit Racecourse in Galway. Galway is a vibrant friendly city renowned for it's music, art and festivals. It has something for everyone including the Galway Arts Festival, Galway Oyster Festival and many more. We are on the doorstep of Connemara, an area of outstanding natural beauty with easy access anywhere on the West coast. Salthill with it's beach and promenade is 20 mins drive away. This is a very central location for anywhere on the West Coast with many famous sites a short drive away.

Doolin (renowned for walking, music and scenery) - 1 hour
Cliffs of Moher - 1 hour

For 2013 we would like to go to the US. Our ideal house would be near the beach in Cape Cod but we are open to suggestions for something different. We would love to go somewhere where we can experience something new and the children could have a holiday to remember (and us!).

We are also open to locations in Europe near the beach.

We would also love to swap with homes in Ireland for weekends and longer breaks. Send us some suggestions, we are open to all kinds of travel!

I run my own business and my husband is a sales manager. We have two lovely children aged 4 and 6. We love to travel and especially to try new areas. We are open to all offers including weekend breaks in Ireland. I grew up on a farm and have been around horses all my life. We would be more than happy to take care of animals and/or plants at your house if required. We don't have any pets at present except for a couple of chickens (fresh eggs every day!). My brother can take care of these if you don't wish to do so.
Our family lives close by so can be on hand to help if needed. We can also arrange for a cleaner to come in whilst you are there. We will look at all suggestions seriously.
