Visit Berlin! Few cities have seen as many changes over recent years as Berlin. The new architecture on Potsdamer Platz and in the government quarter forms a fascinating contrast to the late 19th century buildings of Charlottenburg. One minute you're on an elegant boulevard, the next you’re in one of the city's more alternative neighbourhoods, and within some more minutes you are in our prestigous neighborhood of Dahlem and the adjacent city forest Grunewald with its chain of lakes. All through the year, the 3,000-hectare large forest is a relaxing place for long walks. To the west, the forest is bounded by the Havel. It takes you only few minutes by car or public transportation (Bus stop and Metro closeby) to Berlin City, public transportation is easy available around the clock. Directly located at the Grunewald forest, in walking distance to the the Allied Museum, the Free University Berlin and the American and other Embassies in Dahlem. Many opportunities for jogging, walking, biking in the close vicinity and the entire famous and extensive culture and nightlife in Berlin. Berlin has lots of museums, all kinds of dining and nightlife for all tastes.

Die Wohnung liegt im bevorzugten Stadtteil Berlin-Dahlem, unmittelbar in der Nähe des Alliierten-Museums, direkt am Waldrand. Der Grunewald ist das größte Waldgebiet Berlins mit vielen Jogging-Wegen, Reitmöglichkeiten, Badeseen und Hundeauslaufgebiet, alles zu Fuß oder mit Fahrrad erreichbar.

Due to the embassies and many foreign residents in the vicinity there is great openess for foreign cultures and a good security level. An American church and some English speaking schools are closeby.

Durch die Nähe zu vielen Botschaften bestehen in der Nachbarschaft große Offenheit für fremde Kulturen, gute Fremdsprachkenntnisse, hohe Sicherheit. Amerikanische Kirche und englischsprachige Schule direkt in der Nachbarschaft.

A simultaneous exchange is preferred, but we have the possibility to live in our office in Berlin for some days. Therefore we could arrange for an exchange even if the times do not fit together exactly.

There are bicycles available for the family. Maid service / Housekeeping weekly.

Alexandra (49) und Christian (54), Julian (17) und Luisa (12) - wir sind eine typische Berliner Patchwork-Familie. Keiner von uns stammt aus der Stadt Berlin, aber wir haben uns vor 10 Jahren in dieser multikulturellen Stadt getroffen und Gefallen an Berlin gefunden. Alexandra leitet eine kleine Marketing-Agentur für IT-Firmen, Christian ist Arzt in einem großen Berliner Unternehmen, Julian geht in Potsdam zur Schule, und Luisa auf die nahegelegene Waldorfschule.
Unser Hund Zak genießt das Toben im nahegelegenen Wald, wo er frei herumlaufen und auch in einem See baden darf.

Alexandra (49), Christian (54), Julian (17) and Luisa (12) came to Berlin about 10 years ago. We love this lively, vibrating and interesting city Berlin, but the 10 minutes into the relatively calm Southwest suburb are just the right distance for healthy living. Alexandra is owner of a marketing agency specialized on IT, Christian is director of health in one of the large firms located in Berlin. Julian goes to school in nearby Potsdam, Luisa is at a closeby school. Our dog Zak enjoys the adjacent forest.

We have made excellent experiences with homeexchange and like to continue this.
