Our lovely, bright, quiet and comfortable flat is available for weekly stays (also rentals) all year round when we are not there. You can experience Venice like a real Venitian and have a unique, charming approach to this wonderful city which is still very lively and human, and you just walk one minute off the tourist track. The perfect central location is close also on foot to all main destinations. The view from the many windows facing or overlooking the Canal San Andrea (see photo from one of the 3 living room windows) , the wooden beam ceilings in the living room and in the kitchen, the charming main bedroom, the cozy second room as extra space, the functional bathroom with shower and washing machine, new air conditioning, and the elegant furniture make it a special place. You can reach most sites on foot although from Ca' D'Oro or Fondamenta Nuove you can take the boat to any destination. Local shopping is great (we suggest you take the gondola ferry for a few cents to the Rialto market, but a supermarket is open all day seven days a week) and the best typical restaurants-Baccari- happen to be nearby. Ideal for two people, so that you can enjoy the living room for relaxing!

The neighborhood is very lively and central: on foot you can reach in 5 ' the Rialto Bridge and 12' to San Marco, although you will prefer to stroll and not walk fast as I usually do! Our "calle" , the venetian name for street, is absolutely quiet and enjoying the sound of the water or human steps is the only distraction from silence. In two minutes you can reach the nearest boat n. 1 station Ca' D'Oro with direction Train station and Piazzale Roma (car parking and air terminal) or to Rialto, San Marco and the Lido. I also suggest you cross the Canal Grande with the Ferry Gondola at Santa Sofia (for 50 cents) to Rialto Bridge and the Fish and Vegetable Market where you can buy the best fresh food in town and just one minute from the flat you can find one of the most typical venetian "baccaro" and other still typical local restaurants.But there is also a Mac Donald at easy reach! From the near Fondamenta Nuove you take the boats to the Islands of Torcello, Murano e Burano and to the Lido with its famous beaches, hotels and golf course.

All who visits Venice should have very comfortable walking shoes! In case of very exceptional high tide we supply a selection of rubber boots in the closet. In the flat we kindly ask to pay attention not to damage furniture (please no candles, cigarettes, dirty shoes, etc. ) No pets because too many guests are allergic! The flat is on the second floor (US), First (Europe) therefore even if there is no lift you just have to walk up only 15 comfortable steps in 3 flights. No smoking, please!

Special Holidays are: Christmas, New Year, Carnival, Easter, Whitweek, All Saints week, Biennale for Art, Architecture and Cinema.

We are traveling a lot for our work (Elisa is a producer and curator of Cinema and Art projects, Hans-Hermann is a multimedia artist (a couple of his paintings are in the apt.) and we still have a credit for an exchange with London ...so at the moment we only consider rentals or exchanges with Berlin DE (February), Cannes-FR (May), Locarno-CH (August) and Venice Lido-Italy (September) during the Film Festivals and maybe October with a nice place in Manhattan! .
