Chalet Matzou (altitude 1550m) is located above the village of La Tzoumaz and offers great views. It is very nice and typical Wallis chalet with stoned floor and open fire,. In the winter, you can start skiing from the front door!
The chalet is 100 m away from the cable-car, the centre of La Tzoumaz is only 200 m away. Remark: no access to the chalet by car ! Park at the Telecabine then walk up a steep trail 4-8 minutes.
Ground floor: 1 living room (TV ,internet Wi-FI, fireplace, dining room, 1 brand new kitchen, 1 bathroom (shower, toilet).
On 1st floor: 1 bedroom (double bed), 1 big bedroom (double bed, 1 sofa bed, 1 baby bed).
General: bedding, electric heating. Parking at 150 meters.

La Tzoumaz
It nestles in a pretty, green side valley on the left side of the Rhone at an altitude of 1500m. The valley lies about halfway between Martigny and Sion (1 hour 45 minutes from Geneva airport).
La Tzoumaz in winter
La Tzoumaz is ideally situated for winter sports. As a valley station of the Savoleyres cable-car it allows access to magnificent runs where it is possible to ski until the end of April. A wide variety of ski tows, chair lifts and cable-cars, provide connections to other resorts in the 4 Valleys region. Together with Verbier, Nendaz, Veysonnaz, La Tzoumaz form one of the largest ski areas in Switzerland offering over 400 km of runs and 100 lift installations.
In addition, La Tzoumaz also offers its guests, a small ski lift for children, a natural ice rink, a floodlit sledge run, sledging, snowshoes, swimming pool, kids-club and for those in search of a surge of adrenalin, a heliski.

Summertime for relaxation and rest Summer guests can choose from the many strolls through the refreshing coolness of the pine and larch forests to the alpine meadows, a visit to the neighbouring summits of Mont Gelé and Mont Fort or family walks and hikes across the mountains to discover the abundant variety of wildlife. The resort also has a tennis court and a heated indoor swimming pool with sauna that is open winter and summer alike. River fishing, fishing in the "lac des Vaux", mountain biking and the trail of the senses complete the range of summer activities.

Our Dates
We'd love to find an exchange in May - June, July or August 2013 for one week in a nice place near the Sea or in New York in June.
As this is a holiday home, we are not subject to a simultaneous exchanges.

The Chalet is already booked for Christmas and New Year season 2013-2014 and 2014-2015. During the winter season,The Chalet is availaible only from Sunday evening until Friday evening.We love skiing and are enjoying it every week-ends !
