This is the view from the Hermosa Beach Pier, which is only 4 blocks away, and a fun place to go to watch the volleyball players, surfers, swimmers, paddlers and dolphins. There are also Concerts on the Beach and professional volleyball tournaments throughout the summer.

Our neighbors gather every New Year\'s Morning for a Polar Bear Swim. They are very friendly the rest of the year too!
There are always lots of things going on within walking distance of the house. This is a sand run that has been held for over 50 years.

The Home
California beach house only steps to the beach, surf, bike path, volleyball, running, pier and restaurants. Our house is an older, craftsman style, definitely casual as opposed to formal.
Two story, with living room, dining room, den, kitchen, breakfast nook, laundry room and 1 bathroom downstairs and three bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs.
The master bedroom has a view of the ocean so you can check out the surf without leaving the house, but it's only 50 steps to the beach anyway.
The house is on a "walk-street" which means there is no car traffic in front of the house, only a walking street. During the summer, we have most of our meals outside in the front patio.
Boogie boards, bikes, beach chairs, beach towels and kayaks are available and there is an outdoor shower for cleaning up after a day at the beach.
Computer with high speed broadband and wireless access, and plenty of books, including fiction, non-fiction, travel and sailing.
Many LCD TVs, most with VCR/DVD/cable.
We have a house cleaning service every week, and will have the house cleaned during the exchange and when you leave.

Hermosa Beach is a small, friendly California beach community and the locale for many movies and TV shows, including "Baywatch" and "Beverly Hills 90210".
It is conveniently located just 4 miles south of LAX and close to all Southern California attractions. . . Disneyland, Universal Studios, Getty Museum, Beverly Hills, Malibu.
During the summer there are usually volleyball tournaments, concerts and other events almost every weekend, all walking distance from the house.
The neighborhood is quiet, but is only a three minute walk to the Pier and the shops, resaturants and night life on Pier Avenue. Also nearby (15 minute walk or a short bike ride or drive) are many more resaturants and shops in the neighboring beach communities of Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach.
We have a very friendly neighborhood and we make every effort to get you to meet our friends and neighbors, who are available to help with questions and get you aquainted with the area.
