We'd like to see the most of your region and would then be happy to exchange both, home and motor home.
For shorter exchanges within Europe we're open to any suggestion.

Our home is located in Ehrenkirchen, 12 km south of Freiburg.
It's a spacious maisonette (135 sqm) at the 2nd floor and attic floor of a six unit house. It consists of 5 rooms (big living / eating room with piano, parents sleeping room, childrens sleeping room with bunk bed and climbing wall, guest room with a small children's play area and a study), a well equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms (both with toilet and shower, one with a bathtub) and one extra restroom.
Washing machine and tumbler are in the basement and there's also an underground parking.

We have 3 good MTBs, a 2-seat-trailer (Chariot) for the kids, a Puky training bike, several kids scooters, a Puky 12" and 18'' kids bike as well as a push-powered vehicle ("bobby car").

With kids you can also use our "jungle gym" in the garden which is common for the kids living in our and the neighbour's house.

From the balcony you have a great view on the Black Forest to the west and the Vosges (french mountain range) to the east.

We also have a new RV (Adria Matrix Axess) that could be exchanged, preferably if you have one as well and come from outside of Europe :-)

Freiburg has a very picturesque old town and one of Germany's oldest universities, therefore many young people and a rich cultural life. Freiburg is Germany's "green city" for it's excellence in renewable energies.

The region "Markgräfler Land" is also called "Germany's tuscany" due to it's almost mediterranean climate (Ihringen is Germany's hottest village, 15 km away).
It's a famous region for wine, hiking, cycling, wintersports and we have quite a few nice spas in the vicinity (Bad Krozingen, Badenweiler, Freiburg, Menzenschwand, Baden-Baden...). Or, if you prefer the cooler water, you can swim and sunbath in one of the many lakes (next to the rhine or in the Black Forest).
In summertime there are vine festivals every weekend and in winter you can enjoy the romantic christmas markets in Freiburg, Colmar, Mulhouse or many other cities close by.
If we wouldn't already live here, we would definitely want to spend some holiday in this region ;-)

It's only 20 km to the Alsace (France), 60 km to Switzerland (Basel)and 80km to the Lake Constance.

The neighbourhood is very family friendly, bakery / butcher / supermarket are in short walking distance as well as playgrounds and bus station.
Our neighbours are very helpful if you might want / need any assistance.

It's really winterproof (even with a heated waste water tank) and you'll never freeze inside with the comfortable heating.
So you may use it as well for skiing or other winter activities in the Black Forest, the Alps or whereever you want to explore as well as for warmer days: put the bicycles on the bike rack, take the gas grill and fill up the fridge... and off you are!
We often go for weekends to some hidden places in the Black Forest, the french Vosges, Lake Lucerne in Switzerland or Lake Constance or... we seldom use campgrounds but prefer to spend our free time in the nature.
You're the one to choose!

We don't have pets and are not smokers. Please no smoking in the house or in the car (if we exchange cars). Feel free to smoke on the balcony.
Cleanliness is important to us and we expect the same from our exchange families as well.
We are very respectful of the homes which are left in our care.

We have a Skoda Octavia that can be exchanged.

Open to any dates

For winter 2013 / 2014 we're planning a longer exchange (approx. 8 weeks) to a kidfriendly and warm destination, possibly with car / RV exchange and nice dive sites in the vicinity - like Hawaii, Namibia, New Zealand, Australia or....?

Beside of this we're open to almost everything :-)

Oh - and if anybody had a home to change / let in Oman or Ethiopia we'd be absolutely happy!!!

We're Volker (41), working as a self-employed energy consultant and Simone (40), civil servant. We have two children, Elias (5) and Enya (3).
We like sports (cycling, skiing, hiking, inline skating, swimming and diving) and travelling, so far all over Europe, some of Asia, Australia, U.S. and many Arab countries. Now with the kids we don't travel with the backpack so much but with our RV or home exchange!
