Beautiful house in a nice town in Iceland, 10-15 minutes drive from Reykjavík the capital city. The house is near the sea and has a great view.

Our house is very cosy house build 1932 in the oldest neigbourhood in our town Hafnarfjordur (the town of lava). The house has been renovated but we kept the old style. The street is located down town, a walking distanse from a small shopping center and other services. It´s not a big house but really nice and cosy.

On the first floor is a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and Gaggia expresso machine. Living room with 47" Sony flatscreen tv and Kef home theatre system and a nice dining area.

Upstairs is a family room with leather sofa, 50" LG flatscreen tv, ps3, wii and apple tv with Netflix and Hulu account. From there is a great view of the balcony.

The boys have their own separate bedrooms, small but very nice. In each room is a good Sleep comfort 90x200cm bed, desk and lots of toys especially Lego´s.

If an additional person will be staying we will be able to put an extra bed in one of the boys bedrooms or the family room.

Large bathroom with massage bathtub and a shower.

The top floor is a loft which is our master bedroom. It has a 193*203 cm IQ care mattress and a stunning view. The room has four windows, two of them are velux roof windows which you can open and get a fresh air while you sleep. That´s something we love about this room.

On the ground floor is a studio apartment which we rent out. The entrance is separate and our paths never cross. Also on the same floor is our laundryroom and storage.

We offer a wifi connection and a Macbook which you are free to use while you stay.

The garden is very small but cosy, it looks more like a padio. It has bbq, outdoor furniture and a small trampoline. We have two adults bikes and one for 7-10 years and one for 4-6 years. We also have a trek extention whitch is put on the adult bike.

We are only looking for an exchange with a car.
We offer Kia Sportage 2012 which is very good for your travel through Iceland and a small car Suzuki Swift 2008 which is good to use in the city.

We also offer a big Colman tent and all the equipment you need for camping. The tent sleeps 4-5 people

Our town, Hafnarfjordur is suburban to the capital city Reykjavik. It is a beautiful and peaceful town by the ocean and only 10-15 minutes drive to downtown Reykjavik and 30 minutes drive to Keflavik International airport. There are lots of swimming pools nearby with waterslides for the kids. Beautiful historic garden just across the street. Viking village down town Hafnarfjordur 5 min walking and lots of other beautiful and exciting things to do.

- Gullfoss and Geysir - one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world and the hot springs that erupt every few minutes - are about 1 and half our drive away.
- Swimming - lots of geothermal swimmingpools in the area.
- Whale watching tours from the Hafnafjordur docks. 5 minutes away.
- Hiking mount Esja - 20 minutes away.
- Horse rental - 7min away
- AND A WHOLE BUNCH OF OTHER OPTIONS.

We are a family of four. Bara age 34 is a kindergarten teacher. Snorri age 37 is a head of design at Lazytown entertainment, which is a brand owned by Turner enterprises. Bara loves photography, especially taking portraits of children and animals. Snorri is a great musician and a great guitarplayer. Our boys are Leon 9 years old, he practices soccer and Jiu Jitsu, and Lukas 6 years old who is very creative, loves to draw and build great things with Lego´s.

We have two lovely cats that are very family friendly. The only thing that needs to be done for them is to fill their plate with food every now and then.

We have a small dog but he will be placed in care during the exchange, and we can also offer that for the cats if you don´t want to take care of them during your stay
