The house was build in 1904, looks like (but isn't!) a monastery. Our apartment is 133 square meters and on the second floor. No elevator.

Kitchen and dining room combined. Two large bedrooms: one with a king size bed and one with a bunk bed. (We have an extra mattress for guests). There are many toys and games in the children's room. A living room and a rather large toilet/bathroom (w/shower)

Access to small garden, where you can cook your dinner at the barbecue and enjoy the Danish summer nights. To the other side of the house there is a closed yard with a little playground.

From here you can easily go everywhere in Copenhagen. You can walk, bike or use public transportation. Access to bus and train within a few minutes walking distance.

If you bring our own car, you can park it for free in front of our house.

Copenhagen has a multitude of sights: from stunning palaces, such as Rosenborg Castle, to icons like The Little Mermaid, the amusement park Tivoli Garden, the free city Christiania, boat trips in the canals or the habour.

We live in a small, quiet street in Nørrebro. Nørrebro is a vibrant part of the city only minutes away from the city centre. Here you will find both casual and cool neighbourhoods. You can relax in the parks or take the children to one of the many playgrounds near by. Or you can go to trendy bars and fashionable designer shops. Nørrebro offers both inexpensive kebabs and fancy food. Just 30- 45 min. from our house and you are in a forest or at the beach.


If you like swimming, you can swim in the habour (20 min.) or go to 2-3 beaches ( the closest you can reach by bike in 30 min.).

Within one hour you can reach:
- Elsinore with Hamlets renaissance castle
- Roskilde with a Viking museum
- Small islands
- Sweden with the city Malmø and cliffs at Kullen

A little further away (one and half hours of transport) is the nice city of Odense with a great Railway museum and the Hans Christian Andersen museum

Bicycles available for the exchange family: 2 for adults, 3 for (smaller) kids, a trailer (Burley D'lite) and a "half-bike" that can be mounted on one of the bikes.

We prefer citys in Europe during fall and spring. In the summer we would like to go somewhere warm, where we can swim.
Trips in Denmark are always an option.

Two boys Anton (11 yrs), Gustav (8 yrs) and Betina (45 yrs) and Ole (50 yrs).
Betina works as a consultant for Copenhagen municipality and Ole works as projectleader in Frederiksberg.
