Taken in the summer when the flowers were starting to bloom!
This is a view of the front of the house taken from the Uley Road
This picture is 4 photos stiched together to give a panorama of the front of the house - they sometimes work :)
In 2005 we had the fence re-done as well as the new Cabin over the hot-tub (Nadine and Rob built that!!)
In the summer of 2005 Nadine and I build a Cabin over the hot tub to ensure it\'s usability what ever the weather. I\'ve also installed a 5.1 surround sound system, with DVD player that also plays MP3s (with some discs) so you can select from 50 albums at a time without leaving the comform of the warm, bubbly water!! June 2006 added a BBQ area to make more space for the hard wood sun loungers on the patio itself.
This was taken at about 9am, so you can sunbath in the hot tub if you like! After 11am the hot tub is in the shade.
In 2005 we extended the decking, added a water feature and the cabin over the hot tub. It\'s great to sit here and catch the morning sun and i the late evening the ornimental bushes light up and there is even a fire pit for those who like to watch the flames.
View from the breakfast area towards the kitchen. I full Rangemaster, with 4 gas rings, a griddle and plate warmer. Grill and two double ovens. There is a fridge, freezer and dishwasher. In a seperate untility room, there is another full fridge, freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer.
View through Lounge towards the Conservatory. We also now have a 50\" Plasma screen for your enjoyment!
View from Playroom through conservatory to rear patio area and thatched pavillion.
With snow on the ground, also decked out for Xmas with the Hot Tub in the background - we got 12 people in it on New Years Eve!!
All decked out for Xmas 2004
A view from the Xbox, past the drumkit, towards the pool table and dart board - sound like fun?
View from Conservatory door towards PS2, 2nd TV and DVD (1st Telly, Xbox, surround sound and drums to the right
This room was updated for December 2005. It now was two Broadband PCs, Fax, Scanner, Photo printer, exercise bike, weights and full Your multi-gym.
This is the second largest double bedroom. It has it\'s own en-suite bathroom, with a 1 1/2 sized shower.
Looking right out of the front door acros to the ridge between Cam Peak and Small Pox Hill - unusual light on the trees caught my attention with thunder rolling in the background!
Just 5 mins from Mulberry House, through Uley Village gets you to this viewing point - Coaley Peak Picknic site - fantastic, especially in the snow!!

The Home
A spacious 5 bedroom Georgian style house , (two with en-suite facilities) plus family bathroom.
Located in the English Cotswolds, with easy access to Stratford upon Avon, Bath, Cheltenham, Gloucester and Oxford. Also close to the M5 and M4 motorways with quick access to the Midlands, London or South Wales.
Other well known land marks close by are the Salisbury Plain, Stone Henge and Avebury (a must visit! ) .
The house has a large, very traditional style English Kitchen with attached Breakfast Room, separate Dining Room, Sitting Room and Conservatory (Solarium) .
Fully Equipped Kitchen with large Range Style Cooker (Gas & Electric) , fridge, freezer, dish washer and microwave, and in a separate utility room there is a further microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer.
There is also a study with 2 internet conected PCs, with unlimited Broadband access.
There is also a very large family/playroom (with a Sony Playstation 2, 2 TVs, video, and Nintendo Wii & DVD/MP3 player connected to an InFocus Projectors and 9 foot screen! plus loads of toys & games plus a full size pool table) . For those who are compitent we can also arrange to leave a full drum kit assembled, but if there are just small children we will dismantle for safety reasons before we swap! )
The sitting room has a real flame gas fire and Hi-Fi system and we've also now installed Sky Satellite TV (100 odd channels - we resisted for years but visiting houses in Canada, USA and Australia it seems a must and we wouldn't want to deprive our guests! ! ) .
We've also installed a DVD player, which together with the Satellite TV and Video are all wired into the Cinima surround sound system (we have a pretty extensive video and DVD library to go with it if you get bored with Sky) - this is all connected to a 50 inch Pioneer Plasma screen.
(We've even got a Karaoke machine for the kids - but the grown-ups use it too! ! [it connects to the TV and Hi-Fi in the lounge or playroom with loads of CDGs - 390 tracks on 31 CDGs at the last count]) .
The landscaped garden includes a traditional thatched pavilion (seating up to 8) , a children's play lawn (with soccer goal posts which can be left up or taken down if you prefer) and well stocked flower borders. There is a seperate patio with Char-grill BBQ and hard wood table seating and parasol, a further raised deck area overlooking the Cotswold Edge valley and a gravel seating area for morning coffee.
We've had an outside Hot Tub installed, enclosed in an open pine cabin around it with built in DVD/MP3 Player and surround sound. Also a new decked area, open firepit and water feature. I know Hot Tubs are very common in the USA and Canada, but a rare luxury over here in England I can assure you!
In the conservatory we've also put an exercise bike, weights and a York 925 home multi-gym for the more energetic.
I own this property.

The People
We are a family of 4.
Rob and Nadine are 49 and 42 respectively with two boys, Simon and Stephen aged 16 and 15.
Rob used to work for Lloyds TSB but has now set up a Management & Internet Marketing Consultancy (and is also MD for www.yournutshell.com) and Nadine was perviously employed at the local primary school on a part time basis as lunch time assistant and support for a girl with special needs and as an after school club/sports coach but now is company secretary for our three businesses. www.customconsultingservices.co.uk, www.yournutshell.com and www.advantagegbtennis.co.uk
We love family holidays and having spent over 2 years managing the build of our own house and getting the landscaping just right we started to get into swapping 8 years ago.
We have become seasoned swappers, having hosted some wonderful people from Florida 3 times, Dallas, Vancouver, Australia, Toronto, Whistler, Colorado, California, South Carolina, The Lake Disrict, Cyprus, Ireland and Portugal but welcome first time exchangers, as we are now able to give some useful advice and guidance - I don't think we'll holiday any other way again! (Our web-site also has "reports" logged by previous swapper so you can see what they thought of the house and surrounding area - see below)
