This is really a very pleasant apartment. It is very well equipped and by its proximity to the beach and its excellent connection with the old town it is comfortable base for exploring Barcelona.

The apartment itself is fully equipped. Suitable for 4 persons it is modern, spacious (50 sq meters), light and an with undisturbed view on a green courtyard, it provides you an oasis of tranquility in busy Barcelona. The building is really singular and it was designed by famous architect Carlos Ferrater for the Olympic Games, in 1992. There is an elevator.

The apartment includes:

Está en la zona de Villa Olímpica, barrio muy moderno y agradable construido durante los Juegos Olímpicos de 1992. A menos de 10 minutos andando de la playa, al lado del Puerto Olimpico y de las características torres gemelas de Barcelona. De fácil acceso por su cercanía al Casco Antiguo y los famosos barrios de el Borne, el Gótico, Barceloneta y las Ramblas, a 5 minutos andando del Parque de la Ciutadella.

La estación de metro más cercana, a 250 metros del apartamento, es Bogatell, de la línea 4, de color amarillo, que en tres paradas lleva directamente al centro de la ciudad.

The apartment is in Vila Olímpica (the olympic village built during the Olympic Games in 1992).
At less than a 10 minutes walk you find the sandy beach of Nova Icaria Barcelona, located next to the Olympic harbour and the characteristic "Twin Towers" of Barcelona.
The historic city centre of Barcelona is also within walking distance. It is only a 5 minutes walk to reach the very pleasant ´Parc de la Ciutadella´ that you will pass on your way to the hip district 'El Born', part of the old city, with museums like Picasso.
The subway station (Bogatell) that gives access to the yellow line and that takes you in only three stops directly to the centre of Barcelona, lies at 250 meters from the apartment.

We also have 3 apartments near the Pyrenees, in a nice small village called Bagà, in the north of Catalonia. If you are interested in mountain tourism and excursions (it is inside Parc Natural Cadí Moixeró), we could arrange a homeexchange there. Look at the link with pictures of our apartments.

We are also interested in short stays for long weekends, in European cities (Madrid, London, Berlin, Paris, Roma...).
For summer 2013, we are interested in Costa Rica and France.
For November-December 2013, we are interested in Argentina, Chile and South America.

Soy Jordi, periodista de 36 años de edad, y mi pareja es Manel, de 37 años, abogado en un ayuntamiento. Estuvimos viviendo en este apartamento hasta hace 4 años. Ahora queremos alquilarlo para estancias cortas o intercambiarlo. Nos gusta mucho viajar y nos encanta Barcelona (estaremos encantados de ayudar en lo posible para hacer vuestra estancia interesante y agradable y descubriros nuestros rincones favoritos de la ciudad).

Mi hermana y mis padres, copropietarios del apartamento, también podrían estar interesados ​​en hacer algún intercambio. Mi hermana Palmira es profesora en una escuela primaria. Su marido, Quico es carpintero y tienen una tienda de muebles. Tienen dos hijos: Alba, 19, y Oriol, 15. I am Jordi, a 36 years old journalist, and my couple is Manel, 37, works as a lawyer in a city council. We were living in this apartment until 4 years ago. Now we want to rent it for short stays or to exchange it. We like very much travelling and we love Barcelona (we will try to help you to go to the more authentic and cool places).

My sister and my parents could also be interested in doing an exchange. My sister Palmira is teacher in a Primary school of a small village. Her husband Quico is carpenter and furnitures dealer and they have two children Alba, 18, and Oriol, 16. They live in a nice small village near the mountains (Pyrenees), like my parents, Fermí and Maria.

All this means that some exchanges will be for 2 and some for 4 persons.
